Hi guys,

my good news today is that I received confirmation of my interview for the 14th with my medical to follow later on in the month - after hearing that I decided to spend my Saturday morning collating all the documents that i'll need and to my horror I could not find my ACPO Police certificate anywhere.

After spending God knows how long looking about without success I decided to drop them an e-mail (they are closed weekends) and to cut a long story short it looks like that i'll have to send £70 to them on Monday (registered next day delivery) and use the premium service for a 2-3 day turnaround.

Presuming they stick to their word I should still have this by Monday the 13th latest but it's really touch and go what with my interview being on the 14th.

I realise that the Embassy may never be too keen to rearrange interviews but i'm thinking they will also appreciate honesty is the best policy and i'm considering making a call to them on Monday explaining that there is a slim chance that this form may not arrive in time.

On the flip side of the 'honesty is the best policy' coin, i'm a little concerned that if it does arrive on time then I may have to wait a month or two for the rearranged interview date.

I've got to be honest, my gut reaction is not to risk messing anybody around and to call the Embassy first thing Monday morning - has anybody had any similar scenarios where they had to rearrange an interview?

Thanks in advance!

I know of one recent case where the interview went ahead as scheduled, despite the lack of police & medical reports, and the visa was approved...but pending receipt of those documents in acceptable order. Ten days later, he picked up his passport and came to the USA

Lack of advice coming on this topic but thankfully I found out myself.......so, to anybody out there who may be concerned about re-arranging their interview - call the Embassy and they should provide you with an e-mail address to use. Send the e-mail (funnily enough) and it will be replied to within 24 hours (well mine was anyway) giving details of a new appointment.

24 hours after that I had confirmation of my new interview date in the post - easy as that.
