ds-156 question 18 and 19, ds-156k

Not sure if this is right forum to post this in. I haven't received my NOA2 yet but wanted to familiarize myself with the forms before i do. And i am a little unsure of question 18 and 19 on the ds-156 form. On one hand it asks if you are married etc, so in my case i would tick divorced. But in question 18 it asks you to list spouses name which i don't have as i am not married and in brackets it states (even if divorced or separated).

So does that mean i have to write my ex-husbands name and DOB in those areas? If so, it don't make sense as it states SPOUSE's name and i'm not married. It is kind of contradicting itself.

The same with question 4 on the ds-156k. It asks for name of spouse, place of marriage, and when marriage was terminated. Again, one wouldn't have a spouse if they have been divorced for YEARS.

so, do i fill in those fields with my ex-husbands name?

DS-156 says "18. Spouse's Full Name (Even if divorced or separated. Include maiden name.)"

If K-1 #18 = EX-Spouse, #19 Ex's DOB

IF K-3 #18 = Petitioner, #19 is Petitioner's DOB.

DS-156K Says "MARITAL STATUS If you are now married or were previously married, answer the following:" so in this case YES name the EX-Spouse.
