Mon was not approved but was not denied at her interview. Has this happened to any of you? Were you later approved? Denied? How long did it take to get resolution?

It depends on what they told her, sometimes they can't make a decision until they have all the information about the person together, I have read here about a secon A- file or missing fingerprints records; what did the agent say to her?

Wife's friend always about ten months ahead of her wasn't approved nor denied, was eventually told she needed more marriage evidence, sent that in. Wife's friend is still waiting to hear from the USCIS, my wife has been a USC for over a month now. If your mom doesn't hear anything in 120 days, can take the USCIS to court. Told that to my wife's friend, she doesn't want to take the USCIS to court. Her USC husband is kind of a quiet shy guy, I would be raising all holy cane.

Thanks for all your comments guys. The IO was unhappy about the number and length of Mon's trips out of country. She took four trips out and one was for 176 days and she counted each month as 30 days on crummy advice from Glendale Community College Citizenship Class. So she put down 155 days instead of 176. That may have been a red flag to him. But still she was out less than 18 months and never for 180 days or more. IO gave her the N-652, checked 'passed Eng. and Hist. & Gov't.', checked 'CIS will send written decision about app.' and checked 'A decision cannot yet be made about your app.' He also told her she would hear from him in one week regarding her case. She asked him pointedly, ' You will send me something in one week?' and he told her he would. It has been over a week but I'm not worrying about that. We just don't like being in limbo like this. Like most people on the board I filed everything myself, but since I cannot speak for Mon at an appeal I wonder if I should get a lawyer if we decided to appeal a denial.

why are you rushing ahead of yourself.. a written decision will be mailed so just wait whats hard about that? its only been a week. cases go pending at least he didnt deny your case. my advice is call the 800# and try to get an IO on phone they will see everything on their pc. they will ask for her alien number or case # and will tell you what has happened since her interview..even people who get approved wait and wait.. yours is not even approved in your case you should wait just like the approved people.. i dont see any point to appeal it doesnt do anything. if you had long trips you knew what you were getting in to...i mean her she knew what she was getting into..if shes approved or denied just wait it out. nothing else to do its been a week only
