Hello all,

I wanted to know if it makes any difference in processing time at the NVC if you are going with an I-130 or I-129F. From the following trendlines it looks like I-130 takes longer at NVC:

It is true 129f takes small time at NVC and bit faster than 130. But there are 2 big advantages of 130 over 129f. 130 gives you a green card while 129f is a 2 year visa. Another one is K3 visa which is the result of 129f needs Adjustment of status which is to get green card after arival in states is just another paperwork needs to get done. This means extra money which comes around 500$ more than CR1 or IR1(130). Another thing green card let you work right away while K3 wont. Your call.
