Check email 50 times a day to see if there is any message from uscis

Login to uscis account 100 times a day between 9am to 5pm to see if "last updated" date has changed

Click on reciept number even when "last updated" date hasn't change, hoping that maybe there's a different message

Clicking on everyone's time lines to see if someone close to your dates has heard anything

Printing every email and reciept etc, so that when you're finally approved and have an interview, you can bombard the interviewer with "proof of bonafide marriage"

I was just as bad, and will be again after the interview!!!

You are not crazy, you are in love and swimming through immigration...

I saved everything: reciepts, emails, IM logs, proof of shipping, absolutely everything.

Take a look at my timeline, I think one of the reasons we went from sending our first application to next step is getting our interview time in only 3 1/2 months is because were so thorough.

Don't let anyone tell you that you are crazy, you are just like MOST of the rest of us, and I wish you luck in you journey!!

eYep, checking your case like a maniac is perfectly normal.

Our case is already complete, and I still find myself thinking of reasons to call NVC.

Just wait 'til you get your NOA2, I guarantee it will be one of the most magical moments of your life.

It's right up there with getting married or the birth of a child.

It makes you want to jump up and down, and call everybody you know.

Hope you get there soon, and are united with your spouse soon.

Been there, done that!!!

It's part of the process, so it's normal. It's hard not to do it. I would turn off my computer for 2 to 3 days at a time, and try not to peak (it didn't help, LOL).

oh yeah i know what you mean! when we were still with uscis, i would get an upset tummy each time i checked the account. and during the time when i knew we were that close to the approval, i was even more obssessed checking. studying the spreadsheet, i knew our approval was so near that i would wake up at 4am and just had to check. and once you get that precious Cris email, oh boy, it would be all worth it. so hang in there, keep doing what you have to do and trust that everything will have a happy ending.

I used to check the site like literaly 15 times a day, just at work.. then get online at night and check a few more times. After being without power for over a week a couple weeks ago (thanks Ike).. it was a forced withdraw, and its gotten a lil wee bit better. Now, I only check the site for updates about 5 times a day at work. lol

I already warned everyone at work that if I come blazing out of my office screaming amd jumping up and down; not to be alarmed, but that we were approved. heh heh

I can totally relate what you mean. I was actually getting tired of the last updated date which was constant for 50 days of checking like 20 times a day. Interestingly i significantly reduced it the week before approval as I was giving up hope of getting approved anytime soon. But in funny situation I had to go friday mosque prayer during lunch on 26th sept and prayed with the deepest wish to come true and I come back on my way talking to her while she was going to sleep around 2 am. I logged in on friday after noon and wow I couldnt believe that I am seeing a change of date to sept 26th last update and i almost frozen and literally yelled in my office, lol. Anyway it is one of the best feeling you will get, crazy that we still half way to go but again geting through the horrific and silent wait of USCIS is the worst horror to go through, lol. Now its all over and we are worrying about different things such as PCC which is the worst pain for us so far in collecting req docs. So my suggestion have it all ready when nothing is critical other than NOA2. Good luck.

The applicant/beneficiary, needs a Police Clearance Certificate from everywhere they've lived since age 16.

Actually...anywhere in your native country that you lived for 12 months or more, and anywhere in a foreign country you lived for 6 months or more.
