hi I just want to ask if they are gonna get my passport during my medical? Are they the ones gonna forward it to the embassy during my interview? Because it says on the requirement that I have to bring my passport during the interview. Also I have a open heart surgery last 2007 atrial septal defect, would that make a problem? or should i just bring all the evidence that I did the surgery?

Just curious :)

Thank you.

yes, u need to bring your passport and yes, they will be the one to forward it to USEM..

however, if your interview is near the date of your medical they'll let you bring it home, say your medical is monday and your interview is wednesday..

if you've had surgery before.. bring proof/evidence, like a medical certificate maybe..

goodluck..

oh i see thanks envy me... i'll just bring the receipts and all the evidence that i did the surgery. My fiance told me that getting a medical certificate from my cardiologist is not necessary since USEM does not accept any other results other than Saint Lukes and that the purpose that I'm going there is because they need to examine me if I'm fit to travel.

St. Luke's will be the one to forward your passport and the medical result to USEM. And on your interview date, just present the APPOINTMENT LETTER which the USEM sent you through email (have it printed) and bring valid I.D. also. Those are the only thing the guard will ask.

I was admitted last July 2008(Gastroenteritis secondary to intestinal amoebiasis), I brought the Laboratory result proving that I am well now and a Medical certificate from my Doctor. They got it and attached it to my medical record because past history of illness is part of the Medical Exam at St. Luke's. They will keep a record on that.

Having been operated is not a problem, it will not be a cause of Visa Denial. Only those illnesses which are contagious will be denied like TB, HIV and Hepatitis.

thanks spartan.. i had my medical yesterday and it was like a jungle there. There was a lot of people and not enough staff to accommodate us. I got there around 6:30AM and i got out at 9PM. They didn't ask for anything about my surgery, though i told them about it. I'll have to come back on monday for my results. :) I hope there's no jungle on Monday!
