Pink/Blue Slips at Interview

My wife and daughter went for interview in Guangzhou on September 4, 2008 and was given a pink slip and blue slip, the blue slip was for photos of our daughter from birth until present. We had current photos, passport, birth certificate and all other information but they want more photos.

We sent via EMS to Guangzhou on September 6, 2008 and have not heard anything from them yet.

My question is will there have to be another interview or will they just say come and get visas, I know they are on the week holiday now, but how long is normal to wait to here from them, this delay has caused the daughter to miss school in US. Thanks for any help.

There is normally not another interview, just the submission of the requested material. Did your wife get the pink visa approval and the daughter the blue?

I understand that's all they asked for. There's a reason and it would appear they have some reason to suspect the two are not mother and child. Your wife would have some clue why the decided to verify this. It is not a common request.
