well not that short as I dont trust the heating of fung wah:)) (or whatever cheap busline I ake from ny to boston). Plus waiting on trains on top of that.

wow, this is sad. The only person EVER who has picked me up from airport (except one time my parents did at their airport cuz they dont ahve cabbies in northern Ohio in the sticks, but even my husband is noticing how my family does not even bother to call me or anything))...is my husband. And my husband has got to fight like anything to get into Jordan to the airport!! (because they use numbering system at allenby bridge....) But the friends I have here don't even bother (from boston or ny).

Well, that's just sad - I'm sorry... maybe you should try to make new friends - friends that actually give a chit about you! (F)

I have no time to find new friends. And plus it costs money to get new friends, like to join a club or something. There is one girl who cares about me, but she does not have a car:) People generally dont care about me and if I died tomorrow, the only person who would notice is my husband. But yet, my husband is not here so no one would even go to the funeral (as if anyone would have one)

Wow, that's interesting.... I've never had to pay to make friends anywhere - even in NYC. I'm sorry you feel no one cares for you... I just can't even imagine what that must feel like. :((F) (F) (F)

I'm so sorry Palilover, it is definitely not easy when the people in your life can't even show they care. Just remember those of us here on VJ do care and wish the best for you. If you ever need to talk, I'm here.

So, I just posted this in Sultan's Kitchen, but I thought I'd just drop it here too - this isn't the least bit MENA, but it was so good & so easy to whip up. A perfect blend of flavors for the Fall.

Broccoli, Bleu Cheese, Apple Slaw

Serves 10-12

2 (12oz) pkgs broccoli slaw

½ bunch green onions, thinly sliced

¼ C chopped fresh parsley or more if you like

1 ½ tsp dried dill weed or fresh to taste

¾ C dried sweetened cranberries (I use Craisens)

1 red apple, cored & thinly sliced

1 Granny Smith apple, cored & thinly sliced

½ C crumbled bleu cheese

Prepared “lite” bleu cheese salad dressing

¾-1C toasted pecans

1. In a large salad bowl, mix broccoli slaw, green onions, parsley, dill & cranberries together.

2. Core apples & cut into very thin slices. You may toss these in a little orange or lemon juice to prevent discoloring. Add to broccoli mixture.

3. Crumble bleu cheese into salad. Toss w/ dressing.

4. To serve – mound salad in bowl or plate and sprinkle w/ toasted pecans.

They got free socer leagues in NYC? I never knew that. I was in nyc before the Muslims in Boston encouraged me to move here, promising me a Muslim community and the whole bit and a job. I've only found the job though. I had a husband too but the Muslims made him go away and now he has left me. Now I am alone.

Watchin Drumline for the umpteenth time. What are you doin at your house tonight?

jJ

Thought about drumline, but then Titanic is on, The Notebook and other good movies but I'm too tired to concentrate on them. I have done almost 12 loads of laundry today. I don't know what my family does other than change clothes! Malek is sleeping and my other two are on my bed watching Halloween Town. Hubsters in Lake Erie fishing....

Paliover....I fell for ya girl! If ya lived closer I would pick you up from the airport!
