Annie if you can wait, do it. I know it's a struggle to not feed them before 6 months (I never made it past 4 months) but I think the idea is the later you wait the less prone they will be to allergies. My hat is off to you though if you can do it. My kids were just too hungry at night so I caved around 4 months and gave them rice cereal before bed.

Basically though the daycare fed them all sorts of things INCLUDING PEANUTBUTTER which I believe led to Megan's peanut allergy which is a royal pain in the buttage for both her and me. She was always singled out at lunchtime having to sit at the peanut-free table, I could never keep peanut butter in the house (still can't though I buy those uncrustables for Emily so that she can have them for lunches and that way no risk of peanut butter getting on anything that Megan can touch) and I freak out when we're on an airplane or at a baseball game with all the people eating peanuts.

I also never made my food 'cause quite frankly I had very little spare time for that but good for you for trying! That reminds me of the mom from Jon and Kate Plus 8, although I think she really needs medication for her OCD, she always feeds them organic foods and doesn't let them eat anything bad for them. I think she even gives them organic lollipops! lol.

I'm working today and that sucks bigtime. I want to be out planting my tulips before the first frost but I just can't. :crying:

I know that's why I want to plant the tulips asap! I think it might have even happened already, though I haven't had to scrape my car off yet.

I'm going to try to wait...LOL :P Right now they will sleep through the night so we are good. I love watching Jon Kate Plus 8 but you are right, she needs medication! LOL I want to avoid sweets and garbage for them but not to her extreme! I think avoiding twinkies and giving them fruit will do me fine! :star:

hm...yeah I dont think it has happened yet. At least this morning seems to be the coldest morning actually as I was walking to the bus and my fingers were beginning to hurt. It's odd that they hurt today because I remember walking around in below 10 deg temps last winter with no gloves EVER:) I guess you should plant your tulips this weekend tehn cuz I think that the forst is around the corner;(

I wish if habibi was here....one of our things to do on our list was to get to Salem for halloween!! I've been in Boston for 3 years and I still have not done that:(

I want to bring him to the witch museum and just walk around one weekend before Halloween but he's very against the idea. I think he'll be ok with it next year once he realizes it's all in good fun and more about the candy then anything else. He *is* loving the scarey movies that are coming out though. :P Our favorite restaurant so far (that we agree on) is the Indian one right in Salem. OMG it is soooo good!!!!!

What stinks is that I'm heading back overseas in 3 weeks. It's still going to be warm (er..by our standards anyways) there. But when I get back, I'm going to freeze my butt off and it'll maybe have snow on the ground or at least very cold! I dont wanna take my winter coat to palestine with me just to save it for my trip back. But yet I wont need a winter coat when I get there. So I don't know what to do for that:)

Did you see the episode where she tried to hire a housekeeper? I thought they did a good job but she found a few specks of dust and went all beserk. What's weird is that she's a nurse so she of all people should know that OCD is quite curable by medication. I feel bad for Jon. I mean if he leaves her he'd be screwed because they're under the public eye (not to mention she'd rake him over the coals for child support) so he just has to sit there and listen to her criticize him 24/7.

Can you have someone bring it to the airport when they pick you up? That's what I always do when we go for a cruise or to Florida.

wow you have people come and get you from the airport? No I do everything myself here. I fly out of NYC becaues it is cheaper than here. My friends in nyc are too busy with their own lives to worry about me:( So that makes me be alone. I'll take the train from fjk to chinatown/fung wah bus station. oh yucky...I'm dreading THAT in the cold!! hm...I guess I will take 2 sweatshirts with me to palestine. That will be lighter than my winter coat and should still keep me plenty warm for november weather (I hope)

Yep, I was going to suggest layering... it's not like you'll be OUTSIDE in the cold for hours getting from the airport to your apartment in NYC. :star: A couple of long sleeve shirts and a sweatshirt and/or sweater/jacket should do the trick just fine.

Usually my sister or my parents pick us up/drop us off. 2 sweatshirts should be fine since you're just going to be outside for a short while catching the bus. Have a good trip! I wish I were going away!!!

well not that short as I dont trust the heating of fung wah:)) (or whatever cheap busline I ake from ny to boston). Plus waiting on trains on top of that.

wow, this is sad. The only person EVER who has picked me up from airport (except one time my parents did at their airport cuz they dont ahve cabbies in northern Ohio in the sticks, but even my husband is noticing how my family does not even bother to call me or anything))...is my husband. And my husband has got to fight like anything to get into Jordan to the airport!! (because they use numbering system at allenby bridge....) But the friends I have here don't even bother (from boston or ny).

I have no time to find new friends. And plus it costs money to get new friends, like to join a club or something. There is one girl who cares about me, but she does not have a car:) People generally dont care about me and if I died tomorrow, the only person who would notice is my husband. But yet, my husband is not here so no one would even go to the funeral (as if anyone would have one)
