So, the embassy got our ds230, and I emailed a request that the interview be scheduled in November if possible because I am pregnant and I will only be able to fly until the end of the month, and this is the response I got back:

"Good day,

An appointment can not be scheduled at this time as there are no

appointment dates available. As soon as an appointment date is

available, one will be scheduled for him and he will be notified of

such.

Regards,

Immigrant Visa Unit"

Now I am really scared that he wont be here for the birth of my baby. Does this email mean that it is impossible that I will get a November date?

I am freaking out!

When was your DS230 accepted in their System???...I don't think they are done scheduling for November though...that is their standard email yes, but I think it means at that appointed time they do not have an interview date but later on it might be one available...

According to the DOS, they entered the ds230 into the system today. According to fedex the 2nd copy I sent was received on Tuesday. I hope you are right and there can be an interview by the end of November, because my doctor only clears me to fly until then. My priority date is way back in February...Do you think that matters?

Acrow,

If the DS-230 was entered today, I seriously doubt that you will get a November interview. Check out Sunny JA's timeline. Her interview is next week. She also is a K-1 filer. Try not to stress. Keep the faith. This process can be a real pain in the a@#! When is your baby due?

I'm sorry but I don't think you will get a date for November...it is usually a 2-3 month wait for K-1 visa...sooo sorry.... :crying:

My baby is due Jan 5th. I really wanted to attend the interview because it seems that they are reluctant at the Jamaican embassy to approve visas without the petitioner present.

I agree with Mrs. Scott - you usually have to wait a few months for interview after they entered your DS230. We'll be praying for you though.

You could write them a letter as well as a giving them a doctor's note saying you are not able to fly. Lawny had friends who were approved with just a letter from the USC (with all the other necessary docs of course). It can be done - don't stress too much.

I agree with Island - get a doctor's note and write a letter if you won't be able to travel at the time of his interview - they aren't that unreasonable. I would say your pregnancy is the ultimate proof of a relationship!

One step at a time. Worry when you are given something to worry about. For now, it's all out of your hands. Until then, focus on the positive.

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right
