I have sent in my I-864 way before the DS-230, which I sent last week. It's been about 2 months since I sent in I-864....does NVC send a letter stating whether I-864 has been accepted or not?

In NVC land, no news it good news.

They don't send out notification of approval on I-864, however an operator can tell you if the review is complete.

They're waiting for your DS-230 (if you've paid the IV Fee Bill)

See the guide linked in my signature.

NVC said it will take 2-4 weeks to process I-864 (we sent ours Sept 29th). I think its better for you to call NVC since 2 mos is waaay to long. But then, you just sent your DS-230 last week.
