my friend has already booked a flight on monday and her flight time is at 8am going to USA. The problem is, she still doesn't have a CFO stamp. Is there any CFO stamp available at the airport? Or there is no way to get it but to go and attend the seminar?

Thank you!

You can't get a CFO stamp at the airport. You have to attend the seminar. Attendance at the seminar is first come, first serve and can take an entire day.

Some people have been able to board a plane without the stamp because immigration at the airport overlooked it, but you certainly can't count on that. Your friend can try to leave on Monday, but may very likely be turned away.

Your friend should have the CFO sticker or else she won't be allowed to board the plane (at least that's what I heard from the news) necessary kasi yun eh.. But I think they are just open from monday thru friday.. but she can try and call them tomorrow to make sure.. if indeed they're close on weekends.. she may have to rebook her flight to tues..

Good Luck to your friend!!

Yup. your friend needs to attend that seminar. The Immigration officer in the Philippines will look for that stamp. I did that on a Friday and there was a lady who also attended the seminar with tickets bound for the US the next day. Guess what? The counselors did not give her a certificate! Reason: Internet romance and everything happened so fast. Saw each other once or twice before filing K-1.

There's no way she can fly on Monday. The CFO stamp is only available at the CFO OFFICE and they open at 8am. She should rebook her flight. Good luck and have a safe trip.

i just don't understand the logic of people who are not giving any stamps or whatever they stamp on somebody else's passport just because they think.. everything happened so fast and yet she already has a visa? wow... surprising. Don't they trust the US embassy judgment? wow wow wow... I cant believe that at all. -sigh-

It is not a trusting of the USEM judgement thing as it is a PI Governmental agency and it is required of ALL PI citizens who leave the PI regardless of final destination.
