Hi All,

This is the "Badger", not to be confused with "Honey"! She is the sweet side of this team and I'm...what I am!

Since we have nothing else to do and we have gotten a few questions about our situation from others, this will be an update!

We went to the USEM for the K1 interview on August 26, 2008. The interview was horrible, but not as bad as the deceptive practices afterwords. You can read our interview summary to see how bad it got. The end result was the USEM supposedly had a problem with my US domicile since I had been in the PI for almost a year. After they requested documents of proof, I happily provided more than they asked for. Then they tried to be cute and asked me to go back to the US and take a picture in front of a Post Office as if that was proof of domicile. I lost my cool and demanded to see a supervisor, and I use that term loosely! After I talked to the Section Chief, they took my fiancee's passport and told us to pay the delivery fee. They said the domicile issue was resolved. First lie.

A week later, when we hadn't heard anything but knew friends interviewed the same day had gotten their visa, I called. Guess what, they wanted proof of my US domicile. I asked that it be checked with the "so called" supervisor and after a long wait on hold...the reply was the issue was resolved, no more proof was needed! Second lie.

When asked what the delay was since there was no issue with domicile, I was told it was DV. Third lie!

I challenged that since I had talked with this same lady (Grace) before and she said DV was completed. She asked me to wait and she checked her computer and sure enough....the DV was now completed. So of course, now I asked what the delay was. The answer...... The case is "under review"!

I'm a retired government employee and I'm used to hearing that particular phrase from government folks....it is code for..."I haven't done anything on the work I was supposed to complete!" Just another delaying tactic for inefficiency!

Two weeks ago, my fiancee (Honey) got a letter dated a week after I had talked to Grace. The USEM now wanted more proof of my US domicile. A week ago, I got a letter at my US domicile, saying the same thing! Strange that they would send a letter to my US domicile if they don't think I have one! :bonk:

So the current status is this:

I have asked my Senator to see if he can get a status because I don't trust anything employees of the USEM tell me. If he can't get anything done, I will begin a letter writing campaign to every political figure and news media I can get an address for. I'm twice retired and I have nothing better to do with my time, since I'm not going anywhere!

See what a badger I am!

As for the rest of you, I wish you the best......keep in mind...dealing with the USEM is a Gamble. Some win, some lose and some of us just hold our chips and watch.

HONEYBADGER,

What proofs of domicile did you turn in? We are in the same boat. My husband was asked to provide proof of us domicile after my interview was done. And up till now, we are still under review apparently. Our doc verification is also wayy delayed. Its been with the NSO since Aug 12 and up to now still not done? What are they doing? Does it really take almost two months for this?

Hes been here almost two years and maybe that's why they were questioning him with his US domicile.

We've also called Delbros to make sure they didn't mess up the doc verification and that they've actually forwarded it to NSO on the date they text'ed me that they did.

Hope we get good news soon!

Have a great weekend!

Cant u guys (US Citizen petitioner) ask for appointment to talk to a supervisor or any American personnel regarding our concerns? Anyway, you guys are US Citizens and any problem that you have, you will be entertained because err...that's US affairs?

But anyway, when my fiancee was here for almost a month, we would go to the USEM every week and everytime, only Filipino personnel would talk to my fiancee. My fiancee wanted to speak to an American so he could talk and understand "American english" because all the Filipino personnel would say was "Wait until you hear from us" and ta da- "Go home and wait."

But since this people from the embassy are so powerful...maybe you guys can try contacting uhmmm...maybe President Bush??? Cuz it seems like President Bush is easier to reach...
