Hi all,

I just submitted my petition..well it got mailed thursday to Texas..I hired Roth Livingston and Poles to do it for me coz i didnt have a clue and didnt want to have any delays or mistakes..then i found this site..it has answered alot of questions ive been having which is a good thing.Can anyone tel me if they used an attorney and how it went?I know alot of you here all did it yourselves but im just curious..and if anyone has used the firm i am using..they advertise here too.Well i am having such a hard time missing my baby..i dont know what to do with myself..she is from the Philippines and i am from Florida.I spent the best 10 dyas of my life over there in early April..I didnt want to leave.How do you all deal with the missing and does it get any easier?If anyone here is from the PI id really like to talk with you and maybe you can also talk to my fiancee by email and help her get all the things she needs to have this process go smoothly..my attorny sent me her embassy forms already filled out with her info..but it looks so confusing..i have to send them to her after the petition is approved and if im confused i can just imagine how she is gonna feel.Also do youthink this IMBRA thing is gonna affect the time it takes for the approval?we met in a yahoo chat room in Sept.2005, not through a marriage broker.I just love her so much and im dying here without her.ARRRRGGG.Anyways it is so nice to meet all you people and i hope someone can help me and her get through this thing without me or her going crazy.

November, 2006 :I-693A Sent. The waiting goes on...
April 4, 2007: Infopass & it doesn't help at all!!!
April 18, 2007 :Contacting our Congressman.
May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

IMBRA........have a read of the threads in Immigration News Forum and there is also a thread in the K-1 forum.

If you havent found it yet, there is an Asia:East & Pacific forum on VJ in the Regional Discussion area. You will be able to read and get answers there as well as the main visa forums

No it doesn't get any easier :( This process calls for lots of strength but we get through it by trying to focus on the goal at the end....to be reunited. Many here dont even get the chance to visit their fiances or spouses during the process. VJ is a great source of support though, as well as info.

What part of FL are you from. I will be heading to FL.....hurricanes, gators, swamp, tornados :unsure: and people think Australia can be rough lol

Rob and I are not using any lawyers. If we, for some reason, stumble on some huge immigration problems, then we'll consider. But so far, things are going well. :unsure: Fingers crossed... things will continue going well.
