Amal – going to that website and check this out, sounds cool, have you won any prizes?

Aymsgirl – Bless his heart, I will keep him in my thoughts, jobs are hard to come by, what is his usually job? Hoping he will either love it, or work a little bit and go on to the job of his dreams. Good luck.

Mehdi – poor little guy, hope he gets better; he sure is a cute little one.

Bridget – WOW, I love that, laundry is something I hate, for some reason that is my worst job. Happy for you.

Jess – you are in my thoughts, like you I hate traveling period, sitting in that plane for hours on end. Wishing you a safe and restful travel.

Turia – Hope you have a wonderful holiday/honeymoon.

Melinda – that son of yours is really growing up into a handsome young man, he is a cutie.

To all VJ have a great day, I will be catching up on housework and my own work, we had our little session yesterday and it went really well, we went to some half way homes, and gave out our packages and did our free legal counsel and we are gold, now on to the next thing.

Hey GG, thanks! He was a lawyer in Egypt..so warehouse worker and lawyer are far from each other!!

Jess....I'd leave that stroller and try and get one of those lightweight umbrella ones unless you had to lug a lot of luggage across airports.

Also, sorry if I forget anybody but that's great Bridget, you need to send your man my man's way to teach him a few lessons on helping the wifey out in the house!!!

Terrie, you have a nice weekend!!!!

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a great day and a super weekend.

Tasha - I'll be praying for your husband. I know how that is...you just want them to have something that fits their profession, but you need the money too. God bless you all. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. :)

Happy Friday and weekend to all!! :D

....Turns out its a leak...Jackie was right. ....The bugs came in from the outside because of a crack and they were drawn to the moisture of the wood where the leak was.

Its not fixed yet

But I have contacted the roofer...since the roof is only 1 year old and asked them to come out and see where the water is coming in. Nothing that can't be conquered fairly easily...just gotta fix it and move on to the next surprise!!

Its Friday and I am home today....to take care of the leak problem and just get some fall cleaning done...

Wow Bridget...lucky you!!! I hope Esmat surprises me like that someday!!

I will have my granddaughter with me Saturday...as I do every Saturday while her mom is working (oh..and I was just informed she is expecting again-wow that was a shocker). Other than that just working around the house and spending cam time with Esmat. Haven't seen alot of him this week because of Eid. I told him to go enjoy and savor the moments with family and friends at home..for his last Eid there before he moves on to his new life. Plus his best friend got married this week so they have been gathering all week for that in the village common area..and today he was expecting 100 people to his home for a dinner that he is hosting before the wedding party. Haha...he told me that he bought 51 chickens for the event. I can see him now going into the chicken store in the village and ordering 51 chickens from the chicken man haha. He hired a chef to cook everything so his mom can rest. That was sweet. Haven't talked to him yet today to see how it went.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!! Unfortunately I have to leave you now and go clean my attic. I waited until cooler weather to tackle this job and today's the perfect day. But still I don't want to go hahahaha!!! Def gotta bring some music with me to get me movin!!

Major congrats on the new grandbaby coming! How much wood you have popping up off the floor? You might have to get a small dumpster to put it all in. Good luck with that project. If the parquet was put down with adhesive you are going to have a heck of a time scraping it up.

Hope everyones having a good morning.

Tasha I was so nervous on Usama's first day at work at the bookstore!!! I made sure he got there on time, called to check on him, etc. Guess what...he was FINE! Relax and let him do his thing. I can relate to not working in the field they are used to as well but eventually they get it that they can't just walk into the job of their dreams and they need to make cashola now. My husband isn't working in his field either but he loves the fact that he's working, period and that he brings money into the house and is able to slowly pay me back for my trips to Cairo.

What are you doing for childcare though now? Wasn't he doing that before?

My sister is a blessing and is watching Malek for right now. She is expecting in April so I have no idea how long she will be able to handle him. My biggest hurdle is my work and working around the hours to get him there. I don't think they are wanting to budge much or they will jump to a permanent change and I have been here so long, I am salary and flex but you know they don't like the flex part of it....I am at work at 630am and he is to be there at 8am. My dad can help out some but until we get another car I don't know what to do on the days that he can't do it. Plus we have no public transit in our home town.....it sucks....but he needs to work and gain experience and bring money into the home. I still feel sick nervous worrying about him.....I need an anxiety pill today to calm my nerves down.

3 years ago today the husband landed in the US. I'm trying to think of what to get him. I think I'll just go to target and find something cheezy with an american flag on it.

This is really a busy time of year for presents. It's my birthday, his anniversary of coming to the US, our anniversary, and then his birthday. Thank goodness Eid is moving up, so in a few years it will be far enough in front not to be in the huge present crush.

10/14/05 - married AbuS in the US lovehusband.gif

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!
