Good morning everybody!! I didn't sleep well last night! We got a call from this temporary agency and my husband started work this morning at 8am. We aren't even sure what it is exactly doing but its work for now. I think that it is like a warehouse type job but little pay and its like packing stuff and loading trucks. He has applied for hundreds of jobs with no call backs so he took what he could get for now. He's never worked physical labor before so I am a nervous wreck for him. I surprised myself how nervous I have become over this. I actually cried!! I guess I wanted to just keep him in this little ball and protect him from everything bad that could happen...not sure. Anyways, we have one car and we are juggling work schedules for this job. Just remember him today in your prayers that he will do a good job and they will not work him to death. Did anybody else have these fears when their spouse started working in this country?

This weekend we are planning on going to an Eid Celebration at a local park. Possiby bowling tonight for the youth if my husband is feeling up to it and then cleaning the rest of our free time. Any good plans this weekend?

Have a great Friday everybody!!!

Also, great idea BRNI for suggesting that photo contest to Jackie. Lexi is absolutely gorgeous and has a wonderful chance of winning! Good luck Jackie!! Amal, have a great day off!

Argh. Not only did Mr. Mehdi get up wayyyy before the chickens again, he managed to weasel out of his diaper and the bed. Didnt hurt him, just startled him, but oh man. What a way to start the day. After checking the diaper log, Im realizing he's dehydrated and may be ill. My poor lil man.

I've only had one sip of coffee but did 1/2 of this thread disappear? It's confusing.

I got home last night exhausted because we stayed up late on Eid and I had to be at work by 7:30am so I was beat. Well when I opened the door I found candles lit all over the house. Hubby had the day off and cleaned every room in the house except the kids' room (because I forbid him to clean their rooms, they're perfectly able to do it themselves), did all the dishes and put them away , did 5 loads of laundry, changed the sheets on our bed and even reorganized the cabinet under the kitchen sink! I love my husband!!! :luv::luv::luv::luv::luv:

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm sitting here watching past seasons of America's Next Top Model on MTV. Wow... I've seen this season a million times. Jasline wins!

Anyway how is everyone? Today I have my last day of sit down training for my new job (I went with the serving job). School has started too. So I've been attending classes. All of this happens during the early afternoon. Then around 4 I come home and Tarik is leaving for his job at 5pm and doesn't get home until midnight. I haven't really seen my hubby a lot recently. We only get Monday nights to spend together. How do you all deal with this situation? Usually I get slightly sad that he's not here and I don't get anything done. Grrrr!
