I received an RFE and it stated I need to take the medical exam.

I believe immunization records are required or preferred to bring to the exam, but what if I don't have any? My parents never kept the records, so I've been looking all over to get a hold of them. I've contacted my school, and am still waiting to hear from the health clinics and such.

I've heard that immunization records are only kept for a period of time. My last shots were taken in high school, and I've graduated 6 years ago. So, what will happen if I can't get my immunization records?

The Health Unit didn't have mine anymore.

You can get a Titres Test done- they take blood and test what you have immunity to.

Go to your Doctor- I just went to the walk in clinic and asked them to send me to the Lab. I brought those results with me when I went for my immigration physical and I had copies to use when I went to get my vaccinations transcribed for AOS.

Go to a USCIS designated civil surgeon. He will tell you what's required plus fill out the I-693 you have to submit.

What province are you from? I'm from Ontario and I was able to call Public Health and get my immunization records from HS. It was easy as all the essential ones were on there.

Good luck!

The provincial health dept. usually keeps the records for 25 years, so if you only graduated high school 6 years ago, they should still have your records.

I'm from Quebec, and I had to call the different places I got shots from (I had shots updated for student visa in my early twenties). For some reason, they didn't have all my records centralized.
