Yes, but didn't that make them even slightly uncomfotable, like her also suggesting that this administration, like all administrations had made some big mistakes?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Uncomfortable enough to change their vote? No. It doesn't matter.

What did the conservatives think about her also supporting legislative acceptance of gay unions? Not that she wanted to change the fundamental definition of what is a tradtional marriage, no, but you know she has like, all kinds of people within her own family and friends circle and she also totally supports their personal right to whatever they want to do, so long as it doesn't threaten what she understands as being the traditional one woman one man marriage union.

Its not that much different from the present. Its essentially a semantic distinction - you can give a gay couple all the rights and legal recognition that pertain to marriage, but as long as a euphemism is used instead of the word "marriage".

Its a silly position to be honest.

I wasn't thinking vote changing just ringing some potential alarm bells that she might not be the kind of conservative they are used to in Washington? I mean, she also agreed that there was a human componant to global warming. I would have thought people like Gary would cringe after all those dogmatic arguments he's had about how the whole thing is a Democractic conspiracy theory.

I thought it was funny how when the topic was "the financial crisis", Palin quickly turned to "Energy".

Why the moderator failed to keep the debate on-topic, I don't know.

You betcha... now lemme tell ya how we roll down in Waa-silla....

So, they can vote for her because she represents conservatism even if she neither understands what that means, nor supports all the traditional conservative positions?

Because then she'd be biased... The pundits who complain about "the mainstream media" (but who are not part of it themselves) have spent the last 2 days bemoaning the "liberal" bias of the moderator.

Did anyone else notice where Palin described energy production as "my area of expertise"?

{{{DRUDGE POLL}}}} WHO WON THE VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE?...

BIDEN

26% 39,314

PALIN

72% 110,093

NEITHER

2% 2,794

Total Votes: 152,201

ISSUE: WHO WON THE DEBATE

Republican: Biden - 19%, Palin - 81%

Democrat: Biden - 87%, Palin - 13%

Independent: Biden - 69%, Palin - 31%

frankly, none of these snap polls are that accurate.

I wonder if the sampling is withing state of NY ( predominantly Blue state)

Here's the caveat of this poll

Who won Thursday's vice presidential debate? Research group Media Curves.com, a service of HCD Research Inc., polled more than 1,200 people tonight across parties -- Republican, Democratic and Independent -- after each debate point and reported who won on each topic. Because people were polled during the debate, results were not influenced by media analysis immediately following the debate. Final results will be released early next week determining the overall winner of the debate.

Both tickets are in concurrence since its more more of a "rights" than "rubric" issue
