I think Palin repaired some of the damage of the last few weeks. I did feel like she covered for some questions she didn't understand. I felt more comfortable with Biden's answers. He gave me more of a "safe" feeling, and I think he won the debate, but I was already biased.

I thought the graph on CNN was interesting, the one that followed the focus group in Ohio. I watched its reaction to Palin's buzz words -- it consistently blipped downward when she said maverick, Joe Six-Pack, hockey mom, and kept going back to the topic of energy when she didn't like a question. It blipped upward when she cut the cute stuff and spoke to the camera from her heart. I also thought it was interesting that the women in the focus group appeared more opinionated in almost all cases with both candidates. The men's line tended to stay flatter.

I didn't care for Palin's grinning sarcasm, and I still don't think she is ready to be vice president by any means, but I don't think she's quite as out of touch as she appeared earlier in the week.

Ahmadinejad's also mentally unstable and that's also dangerous, and highly diplomatic of her also to actually state that a spade is also a spade on a public stage. Never mind America, you'll learn to love those dulcit tones, also.

I also had a "huh" moment at that. Ahmadinejad might be representative of an unpleasant government - but mentally ill?

I think Biden did well to define the position of President in the context of the Iranian political system.

I think also that I have a handle on the maverick position also when it comes to reaching the American people, and let me tell you, I will not wave a white flag, not on this ticket and also if I won't waver and will, god forbid it should ever happen, take up where McCain leaves off it comes to it and I am also not going to blink and let the American people down, because, I also, I have felt the same pain as all those American working class people without health insurance around the kitchen table.
