She can't pronounce NUCLEAR either....#######? It is not that hard of a word.

-P

I was getting really annoyed by Eye-raq and Eye-ran as well. What a nice foreign affairs situation we have when those who aspire to the leadership of this country can't even pronounce the names of other countries correctly.

.

It's an accent. I don't understand what the big deal is. Do you always judge people by their local accent? I guess you think those that have a southern accent are all inbread morons? Maybe anyone with a midwest accent are all hayseeds? Everyone with a New England accent are all elitists? Very nice.

No, it is not an accent - it is a serious mispronunciation of a country's name. It is a common courtesy to call someone by their name correctly and an insult to call them by their name incorrectly, especially when the correct pronunciation is known. If she is incapable of pronouncing a certain combination of letters or words due to a speech impediment or a strong accent that is one thing. This, however, is not an accent. I have a friend who lives in Alaska - she pronounces the name correctly; I have friends who live in the Mid-west - they pronounce the names correctly; my husband is Southern, he pronounces the names correctly. She, however, uses the long 'i' sound where it is supposed to be a short 'i' sound. It may be small potatoes to you but for someone who is supposed to be a heart beak away from the 'leader of the western world' and needing to deal with foreign affair matters it sounds, at the worst to be deliberately insulting, and at the best to indicate a poor level of education, a lack of attention to details or just sheer laziness.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Biden’s weakness: He is completely divorced from honesty. Either he knows he’s lying and doesn’t care or he isn’t aware and is just plain ill informed. His body language was off-putting. Like McCain he appeared angry and contemptuous. That phony smile is nauseating.

If you honestly think McCain is more honest you are delusional... he has run a very sleazy, negative & dishonest campaign. McCain ran a clean campaign back in 2000 & Bush ran over him like a truck with his dishonest tactics, so now McCain is running the same sort of campaign vs Obama. As for Biden all politicians have some dirt on them but overall he seems pretty straight forward to me. Unfortunately in politics today there is little black & white, just shades of gray.

And of course, if you seriously believe there is no harm in it you would have no objections if people started calling Ms. Palin "Sayray Pouline' and Mr. McCain "Jone McCine" - after all, it is just an accent - NOT.

I seem to remember your God, the Socialist Obama during the debate missaying words sometimes and ven caught himself a couple of times and corrected himself. He even sevral times called McCain Jim and then corrected himself and said John. I thought it was funny and even about the third time thought he was doing it on purpose but decided he was just nervous as he kept stammering so much.

I think Obama is a smart man and you are giving him a pass. You have always posted anything positive on Obama and negative that has to do with McCain/ Palin. I think on this and future comments are going to have to be questioned.

You seem biased in the other direction (e.g. "the socialist Obama")... I recall back when I was 8 learning that "two wrongs don't make a right". Perhaps you missed that lesson?

I would also have been annoyed if Biden or Obama mispronounced Iran and Iraq - but they haven't and they don't. And I am a Canadian - Socialist isn't a dirty word where I come from - it is a compliment :D

Obama's ties to Bill Ayers, a founder of the 1960s radical group The Weather Underground, this is who we want in the White House great I see the Change is coming.

Evidently the stupid arguments never change.

I smacked Tiger for saying this in another thread, so I guess he felt the need to say it here. It's garbage & he knows it... the rhetoric from both sides is really old.

Would you like some pledge of allegiance with those freedom fries?

I am a American having served for our country along with my father, having been to Germany, Korea and Viet Nam, I have already given my allegiance thank you, may you always live in peace. Best to all and to whoever is successful in November.

I respect your service, but it is no defense for a terrible argument.
