For IR-1 visa, who sends the packet 3 to the beneficiary? Is it NVC or the embassy?

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Packet 3 or 4 will be sent out to beneficiary by embassy. Sometimes you may be able to ask them to email it to you. In your case IR1, your packet will only include, medical examination date and vaccines req. and interview date. Unless there is somthing missing.

Packet 3 or 4 will be sent out to beneficiary by embassy. Sometimes you may be able to ask them to email it to you. In your case IR1, your packet will only include, medical examination date and vaccines req. and interview date. Unless there is somthing missing.

They will give you a list of doctors they accept medical examinations from. Then you can set up the medical examination yourself.

I married my love on 12/24/07

For IR-1 visa, who sends the packet 3 to the beneficiary? Is it NVC or the embassy?

Packet 3 is the Visa Application packet, for normal cases, it's NVC send to beneficiary and petitioner. If it's expedited, the consulate will send to beneficiary and they are return to consulate. Actually, you don't have to wait for the packet, the forms are available online and can be sent by following Loto's shortcut.

Packet 4 is the Visa Appointment packet, NVC sends visa appointment letter, consulate office sends forms and information for medical check up.
