What next??

Hi,

my aunt had petitioned for mom and now the immigration process in underway.

MY aunt completed DS-230 and sent to the NVC but the papers were not complete and they sent back a letter reflecting the incomplete papers.

My aunt completed the papers and sent the DS-230 again.I m derivative beneficiary.

now i have some questions

please guide me

1.How long will it take till the papers are forwarded to the embassy??

2.whats gonna happen next??

3.I am going to be 21 on next year's january24.

5.can u please tell me some time savers??

6.can we somehow get an interview date prior to my birthday?

7.if the answer to the above question is 'yes' then please tell me how can we acomlish this

8.how do we know that our case is complete and forwarded to the embassy??

9.can we know when is our interview??i mean well before we are infromed by a letter from the NVC or embassy??if yes how??

10.if you have any information regarding this matter which can help me please tell me.i shall be highly grateful to you.

If NVC Requested ds-230 part 2 along with other civil documents, then NVC assign an interview date, if not then us embassy will process your case. NVC is quick for processing while embassy is quit slow.

as far as your age goes its all depend on when u write ds-230 to NVC

NVC forward case to embassy after completion , 1 to 2 months.

2) Consulate will send out an invitation Packet

3) The I-130, and DOS dont indicate age of sibling's children, so I dont know if age 21 is a factor.

5) James shortcuts, but you indicate already sending in DS-230

6) Once case gets to consulate contact DOS Visa services about Expedite, or ask if age 21 would be a problem.

but what is DOS???

DOS = Department of State, they handle the visa processing, and for the most part schedule the interviews at most consulates, the above link will get you contact information.

As far as your age goes, it depends on when you officially file ds-230 to NVC according to latest uscis act of immigration
