I received an email earlier today from the north. It was full of news and interesting tidbits. The best thing I read in the whole email was:

"It snowed here today." I can't help but laugh. This is very early for snow, even up north. If it continues, they'll be enjoying snow for 6 maybe 7 months. Better them than me. I'm liking this weather.

Oh man.. that does my heart good.. I saw pics from NB yesterday where the leaves had turned they've just begun here in CT.

As much as I love living in Virgina and the nice weather we have (the leaves have just started turning here too!) I really hope the farmer's almanac and predictions for this winter are true, that we are supposed to have lots of snow!

I've missed a good snowfall. We had hardly anything last year, and anything that did stick didn't stay long.

Last February I called my mom to talk. I asked how the weather was, and she says "Well, we're getting another round of snow...again" I said, that's too bad, it's 70 deg. here! All she could say was "Speak Canadian!" Ok mom...like 20 deg.

Now THAT was unusual. But, I could do with a nice day of snowman building and snowball fights with the hubby

Well, I felt cold yesterday afternoon and put on a sweater - then looked at the temperature 77 degrees! HA! I'm obviously acclimatized. It is in the high 70s again today and I am in long pants instead of my shorts - hehehe and I am wearing a sweater again as that wind is cool. Actually, looking at the thermometer right now it is really only 74. Kind of ideal weather, hehehe.

I, for one, say they can have the snow and they are welcome to it! I had 49 years of winter and snow and being cold and that is enough for any one lifetime. I am looking forward to the next 49 with a winter that goes to freezing at night and back up to the 50s during the daytime - now THAT is a winter I like:-).

Oh ya, its getting cold! We are hovering around the upper 30's low 40's here in Northern Ontario. We were suppose to get snow today, or maybe tomorrow. All I know is I had to light the pilot light on our gas stove last night. We may be moving to Florida in March-April, it will be nice to be somewhere warm for a while!

No snow yet here in Alaska - although it was 0C this morning when I went out to the car - so perhaps it will not be long.

Last year we got snow in Salt Lake weeks before it fell in Winnipeg...granted, it snowed at night/morning and was back up to the 70s by afternoon. Gotta love high altitude deserts and the wild temperature fluctations. We get the opposite of the Canadian questions. I had a couple of people in Canada ask me "Does it get cold in Salt Lake? You don't get any snow there, do you?" I should have just pulled out my 2002 Winter Olympics pin and worn it the entire time.

When I left for work this morning it was only 49F. The dogs are just loving' this weather!

My friend up in Nunavut has been shoveling snow since end of August. He's way the heck up there though in Pond Inlet. He could shout to Santa's house I think!

I sat at Jeremy's work yesterday wearing a long skirt, jumper and wrapped myself in a blanket yesterday because the AC was set to 74f

It hit 100f today so I am totally jealous of the snow - we don't even have the turning leaves! Just palm trees and sunshine... although we currently have some clouds and wind. But that's it
