It is as long as you have DHS authorization. Which currently you do NOT.

What the SSN card is saying to an employer is to look for evidence of enjoyability (EAD or GREEN-CARD), having SSN by itself is NOT work authorization.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

You need to file for AOS, which can include filing for EAD, as soon as possible. The EAD should be processed within 90 days, so you you will normally get that before your greencard.

Sure you can. The 90 days apply only to your I-94 which means if you don't get married within 90 days, you would have to leave the country. But your visa is valid for six months. K-1 visa holder is allowed to work in the United States. Just take your passport with the I-94 and visa attached along with your SSN to your employer and have them call the work eligibility hotline (The DHS).

I started working two months after I arrived in the United States. We haven't started adjusting my status yet, but I applied for a job and I was hired. My employer called the DHS and verified all the information in my passport. And they hired me anyway. So you can work. But don't wait. Send in the I-765 and I-485 right away.

The bolded statement is very misleading. The visa is valid for 6 months -- UNUSED. You have 6 months once it is issued to use it to cross into the US. Once you cross the US border and use it, it is then expired.

In order to work, and in order for your employers to be within legal boundaries, you need a SSN and either the temp EAD (which is only good as long as your I-94 is good), or your EAD card.

This should answer the question once in for all. My fiancee took a copy of the document to the SSA. They said, "Yes, we know!" and gave me my SSN. That and a phone call to the DHS is all it took for me to be eligible for work in the US. Nuff said?

I've read that information. For a K-1 Visa, the I-94 expires 90 days after entry.

NOTE: K-1 is valid for 6 months or to whe it is USED whichever happens first, it is VOIDED when it is used, after that and the I-94 clock begins.

The validity date on visa has nothing to do with work authorization, all that date is for is when it MUST be used to enter the USA by, nothing else.
