Beneficary Packet (Marriage Certificate?)

We are reading over the packet that the Consulate sent and under DIVORCE AND DEATH CERTIFICATES it says the following:

If you or your fiance were married previously, obtain one certified copy of your marriage certificate(s), and one certified copy of the divorce decree...

Now, I understand the need for the divorce decree, but are they asking for a copy of my marriage certificate from a previous marriage? Or is this form also used for K3 and they are asking for OUR marriage certificate? The confusion is the word certificate(s)... If it was OURS there would only be one.

Also, for my divorce decree, would a faxed copy that has the notary seal on this be considered certified?

Yeah,it is only the divorce decree taht is needed. That was what me and my husband did. He was married before,so he has to submit a divorce decree.But a faxed copy,I am not sure of that. I only submitted a xerox copy without being certified so I guess fax copy is ok since it has a seal.
