Here is just a follow up on my worries that I posted 2 weeks ago. I made an info pass appointment and asked the Immigration officer about it. He said that you have to be in the STATE/DISTRICT for 9o days BEFORE you file your N400. If you move,be sure to call them and give them your new address. So,this is just for evryone who will be moving and is about to file the N400.

You can also find that in the M-476 manual under the eligibility requirements, that was easier for me than making over a 400 mile trip.

I read that too but a liitle confused so I posted question in the forum(read the link) and everybody is saying that it will just be rejected . So I don't want to pay another $675 again if that is the case,so just to make sure ,I'd opted to go to speak with an Immigration Officer.

Ha, once in awhile get into a debate with akdriver on what is perfectly clear or nebulous, but this statement on page 24 of the M-476 manual is perfectly clear:

"Time as a Resident in a

USCIS District or State

Most people must live in the USCIS

district or State in which they are

applying for at least 3 months before

applying. A district is a geographical area

defined by USCIS and served by one of

the USCIS “District Offices.” You can

find out which USCIS district you live

in by referring to the single page titled

“Your Local USCIS Office,” located in

the back pocket of this Guide."
