Finally shipment released by embassy at noon today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone out there who has first time POE experience for a CR visa? Does my spouse with a conditional residence go through the same immigration lane as permanent residents and citizens and will they detain and interview her when she has a CR visa?

I just came through POE at SFO and the embassy told to line up through the visitor line, i did that, then when it came to my turn the guy told me to go to the other end, which took me to the USA citizen side, there i noticed there were signs for new immagrants, so i think if she cannot see one of them, then just with the visitors, either way she will be fine, it just takes a little longer.

Hope this helps

Depends on the POE - I went through the visitor line at Seattle-Tacoma airport. The officer took my passport and brown envelope and passed them through to the guys at immigrant processing area which was to the left and had a small seated waiting area.

I just returned to Chicago from France on Oct. 1st, before the Immigration Officer could ask me any questions,

I asked if my wife could come in the resident's line when she comes with her CR-1 visa next month.

I was told that it would be fine.

I'm guessing that whichever line she gets in, whenever she gets to the front, she'll be pulled out by the interviewing personnel anyway.

In theory, her having the visa in her passport, she is a legal resident and not a visitor.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

My POE is SFO- my husband went to the USC and I went to the Visitor's area lane. Immigration Officer asks few questions, gave me a form to sign and she took the Visa envelop and she told me my green card will arrive in the mail (which I got after 21 days of arrival). I was also lucky since the Immigration Officer is a Pinay.
