Well my husband is a US MArine, so i understand the military thing, we have not applied for the visa yet, soon will though, but the things you descirbed about the distance, missing her, the Military mode, plus the time difference play havoc.

I try to go see him at the maximum every 6 months i never leave it longer than that, i have kids though so it restricts my time as to when i can go see him, but if you can visit as often as you can. I have had to have it out with Chris a few times about him making time for me, picking up the phone and calling. Mil life is starnage, even though she has not started school yet she will still be kept busy, very busy.

The other thing is keep your self busy still live you life becaseu when you do talk you have so much more to talk about.

And as I stated in my post, I do understand that she is in, and why she is in "military mode" - when she is surrounded by her colleages. However Im a little suprised that she is still not talking to me "normally" when she does have the opportunity and is alone

They some times find it hard to switch military mode off. I knwo Chris does and he has to appologise sometimes becasue he catches himself doing it. And it is not just you , when Chris is around his highers his military voice kicks in.

BUt i agree with you when you are lone she should not be acting this way. It seems to me she is finding the separation hard between you two, it is taking it's toll alittle and if you dotn really have any commitments here in the UK i would head back to the USA.
