Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am confused?!

Hey there. My hubby got his adjustment of status approved and is a conditional resident. My question is, do his EAD and AP need to be reapplied for in a year or so when they expire, or since he has his green card, is he covered until it's time for him to apply to remove conditions? I'm not sure if we have to reapply and repay, or if the only people who have to do that are those who are waiting for a long time for their AOS to be approved. Thank you for your help in this situation! :huh:

~ 07/30/08 - Case is transferred to CSC.

~ 08/22/08 - Receive Kyle's AP documents!!!

~ 08/23/08 - Receive Kyle's EAD card!!!

~ 09/25/08 - Receives green card!!!

~ 09/02/10 - Biometrics retaken

~ 09/16/10 - Approved!

~ 09/21/10 - 10 year green card received!

Green-card REPLACES EAD, and NO AP needed to travel, GREEN-CARD allows re-entry.

AP and EAD are interim benifits, that is they are valid for use while waiting for green-card.

Note a green-card is a green-card conditions or NO conditions.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

The Green Card or the Permanent Resident Card is the valid document

for your husband. EAD and AP are supporting.

No sweety...ur GC also serves as EAD and AP even ID for any purposes.

GC or form I-551 is used for employment or travel purposes. Once GC is issued and is received by you, it automatically invalidates EAD and AP as basis of them being issued is a pending I-485. Once I-485 gets adjudicated, it is no longer pending and basis of EAD and AP becomes void. Please do not use AP to travel as you will require your green card and AP might not help you to enter US. As basisi for those documents (EAD and AP) are no more, you cannot renew them even if you wanted to.

Thanks to everyone for their help! I know I read online something about renewing the documents, as they are only good for one year and your conditional green card is for two. But I guess that renewal was only for people who were still waiting for their AOS do go through. Thanks for the comments and help!
