How do you know if your case has been transferred to local office?

May 26, 2011 Mailed 1-751 to VSC

Well you would get a NOA stating so. (And on the USCIS site too) :thumbs:

Ok, thanks. Just was wondering, because our local office is processing April 2008 applications. We applied in April, but nothing. Was just curious.

I believe you only get a notice if your application is tranferred to CSC, not to you local office. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

05/01/2008 Notice Date (Day 6)

05/09/2008 Biometrics Notice in mail (for 05/22)

05/22/2008 Biometrics appointment (Day 27)

08/20/2008 EAD card received

09/26/2008 Interview Letter in mail (for 11/10)

11/10/2008 Interview (Day 199) APPROVED!

12/02/2008 Green Card received (Day 221)

ROC

09/20/2010 I-751 sent to California Service Center

09/21/2010 Notice Date (Day 1)

10/12/2010 Biometrics Notice in mail (for 11/03)

11/03/2010 Biometrics appointment (Day 44)

01/07/2011 APPROVED! (Day 109)

01/13/2011 Green Card received (Day 115)

They will send you a notification letter stating the transfer.

11-01-07- My fiance got a letter from NVC that within 2 weeks Manila Consulate will send my Packet

11-20-07- Date of my Packet, actually the real one was earlier but it was sent somewhere, good thing my Fiance arrived to spent Thanksgiving day in Phils and we checked the status in Embassy.

11-23-07- Medical though the exact date was Nov. 29..

12-06-07- Interview

12-16-07- Visa in hand

01-16-98- Attended CFO

01-18-08- Arrived in USA , POE-Guam

03-16-08- Wedding

AOS

04-17-08- Submitted the AOS

04-24-08- NOA

05-13-08- Biometrics

05-27-08- Transferred to California

06-14-08- EAD card received

07-21-08- Date of AOS approval but got the letter July 24

No Interview, No RFE and Additional Vaccination( just used the SLEC medical docs)

07-22-08- Date of Permanent REsident CARd , got it July 29

07-31-08- apply for SSN

08-05-08-SSN delivery

01-12-09- First day of work(Thanks to Marielle and Mario)

please dnt get me wrong...is your timeline correct? you guys met Feb and got married March?

Ella is correct, you only get a notice if your case is transferred to CSC. The only time you'll know that your case is at a local office is when you get the interview letter.

08/03/2010 - NOA notice date for I-751

08/05/2010 - Check cashed

09/01/2010 - Case status appears online

11/08/2010 - Card production ordered

11/13/2010 - I-751 Approval Letter received

Sometimes they do send a letter to you if they are transferring your case to a local office but it is not mandatory. You might / you might not. There are different channels through which a file is requested by local offices. Sometimes it is reported and sometimes its not. Whenever your case is transferred to a local office it is due to an interview. Also, when case is transferred, jurisdiction over the case is also handed down to the local office.

Yes, it is correct. It works for us, however, I would not normally recommend it. I can understand what it may look like, however, it is nothing like that. When you know, you know. I did not want to wait.
