Hello All!

Victor's AOS interview is scheduled for 06-06-06 . . . at first I was wondering if "Damion" had anything to do with it . . . lol, now, we both believe that this day will be a success and we will emerge from the processed blessed in everyway.

Things are going well with us . . . we've had our wedding ceremony. It was beautiful . . . I'll have to post some pictures! Victor is working, and he is adjusting to life in America well. Our adjustment to our new lives has been slow, stressful, and a test of everything we share together. I just want to encourage everyone here to hold onto WHY you love your spouse/fiance and let that and prayer carry you through. Also, if you have major trust issues now . . . don't go any further until you've worked them out to a point where you both feel comfortable going forward. The amount of stress that occurs AFTER your spouse is in the USA far out weighs any stress you may feel as you are going through the visa process . . . and this amount of stress is dangerous on many levels of your relationship, if you try to handle it on a relational foundation that is compromised by mistrust.

May God continue to bless all you and you're visa journeys! (L)

I'm glad to hear your wedding went well and look forward to seeing pics. And your absolutely right prayer is the key in the trying times.

I read something in a spring cleaning marriage article, that you should avoid the same time and places where disagreements start. Make a point to do a appreciation/praise/thankfulness instead around that time and place.

Times may be trying but well worth the endurances.

I wish you the best as you go to your AOS interview. Stay focused and strong and you will prevail.

I agree with you 100% about the stress being greater AFTER your love comes to America. The stress of waiting was a constant, something you survived because God does not give you more than you can handle. The adjustment of living together is a whole other issue.

Good luck and will be waiting to see your approval post on 6/6/06.

Hey stranger! I was thinking of you last week, but could not remember your username exactly.

Anyway, congrats on the er....ominous appointment date.LOL I stand in agreement with you that you and Victor will come thru with flying colors and you will be blessed in every way.

Your observations about the different types and degrees of stress is so dead on. I agree with you 100%. Henry and I pray a lot and we always manage to come back together and review all that we said and come to agreement and make up. We had a bad argument last night and he fell asleep before I did, but I could bear to sleep without touching him so I tucked my hand under his arm. He woke up and took my hand and kissed it and wrapped it around his shoulder. That is so not typical of him, so I know he meant it.

My best to you and Victor! Stay strong and speak the truth in love. (L)
