I had my AOS interview about 6 weeks ago, The IO told us that everything looks good however she needs a copy of my birth certificate. I am the immigrant. I got a copy of my birth certificate from Turkish consulate. I need to bring this document back to my IO on October3rd. Here is the problem, I just realized that my birth certificate is showing me still as SINGLE. Because I guess I was supposed to register my marriage with the Turkish consulate so they can update the census records because the Turkish birth certificates are prepared based on the current information on the cencus records. I didnt registered my marriage with the consulate and now It's too late. Do you think that my birth certificate showing me as single may be a problem? Would IO accept my birth certificate? If anyone has gone through same type of problem, please help. Thank you

I seriously doubt this will be an issue. The BC is used mainly for citizenship/identification purposes, certainly not marital status.

I agree, it shouldn't be an issue. Like you said, it's only used for Turkish statistical purposes so it won't matter to the US government.
