I've noticed over half a dozen cases similar to ours on the timelines here on visajourney have had their applications put in up to a month after ours and already have their NOA2 and some even have their interview date set.

We're still waiting for our noa2

I'm curious if and why some cases would take so much longer than others from the same service center and country.

I'm also wondering if anybody knows a better way to get in touch with the USCIS because I haven't gotten anything from them since the NOA1, not even an email notifying a "touch"

anybody willing to share experience on the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Well I just can suggest you to relax and be patient. Your NOA2 will come soon. Your timeline shows that your approval would be between September 28th and October 15th. Some cases are processed faster, some take a little longer but just be patient. If you call USCIS they will tell you that check the timeline they have but we know that timeline is not true.

Good luck , you're close to the approval. Once you get your approval, everything will be very quick :star:

We didn't get a touch until we were approved (NOA2) so touches don't indicate much of anything in this regard.

I suspect you're close (according to your Possible Adjudication Dates in your timeline). Hang in there - remember, VJ members account for only a fraction of all those petitioning not the entire petitioning-population.

It means "Moved By Charles". Sometimes you will see MBK, which is "moved by Kim"

Same thing happened to us before the approval: others with filing dates after ours moving on to the embassy, and we stuck in the waiting room. In fact, we never got an approval email from USCIS, it just showed so on the webpage. Calling USCIS won't do anything. We rang them up a day before our approval and they pretty much read stuff of the screen: "On May 29th we received this I-129F...blah blah" and then informed us that now USCIS Vermont is working on Feb. filers (bs, we know :)). Just hang in there, your approval shouldn't take long now!
