The Associated Press7:25 AM EDT, October 2, 2008 FORT MYERS, Fla. - Authorities say a Fort Myers man shot himself in the arm after his girlfriend refused to have sex with him.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office reports that 29-year-old Jonathon Guabello and his girlfriend returned home from a bar early Wednesday morning. The girlfriend told deputies that Guabello had wanted to get intimate, but she wanted to go to sleep.

When Guabello became irate, authorities say the girlfriend went to a spare bedroom, and several minutes later she heard two gunshots. She told deputies Guabello came into her room and threatened her. He then stumbled into the kitchen and knocked himself unconscious.

Guabello was charged with threatening violence and firing a weapon in an occupied dwelling. He was being held on $100,000 bail.

Ahhh... a question I can relate to!

My SO has a resistance to "technology". Oh sure, she can use email and yahoo messenger and skype, but ask her to transfer pics from her camera to her computer or write a word document or burn a disk... or even move a file between directories and she just refuses! Always says shes too busy to learn and then gets frustrated!

On the other hand, I try to be patient. In reading all the other complaints, I try to remember my grandmother.

In 1986, my grandfather passed away. 3 days later we were all at her house and she was crying. She said "If only I could hear him snore just one more time, I would never complain again".

THAT hit me like a ton of bricks! To this day I may get frustrated, but always try to look at the bigger picture. I try not to let the little things bother me much. We are only on the planet for a short while... our loved ones could literally be gone tomorrow!

Awww, I know exactly what you mean and it's those little "annoying" things that we can't stand that we would miss the most about our loved ones if the were to be gone tomorrow!

My SO seems to enjoy annoying me by taking things I've put in one place and putting them in another.

Like the other day I bought some buns for dinner at the store and left them in the cupboard and he went and moved them to the freezer. Come dinner time, I was looking for the buns and they were frozen in the freezer. I hate using the microwave to defrost food.

Why? Because he couldn't understand why buns were out...even though I told him the previous night they were for dinner.

Today I made a few folders on his mac which our photos from our camping trip were uploaded on, I wanted to take some of the photos and put them on my families group on facebook as soon as I was done dinner, cleaning and all that stuff. Well I just went to see where the folders were and he deleted them.

Why? Because he didn't need them and assumed I was finished with them.

Thanks for the advice. Did variations of that in fact but it seem she can't understand me when it is convenient. She is in Vietnam and I am here but when I was there she should be a tad more receptive to the baseball analogy. Hopefully when I see her in a couple of months she will understand more English.

Yep.. i can so relate.. would LOVE to have the chance to see my father do one more annoying thing.. it's what made him my father.. he did annoying things, and now he's gone... if we were all identical.. oh man.. that would TRULY be something I couldn't stand.

The other day in my continuing and relentless pursuit of being a good husband I was giving my wife some laundry tips. I informed her that the cap on the fabric softener is purposely made large by the company that sells it so that you use more and end up buying more. She then informed me that whenever she washes clothes she fills up the cap 4 times so that the clothes smell better. I was wondering why we were buying so much fabric softener.

#######? 4 times? that's just insane. a fabric softener bottle for me last half a year, if not more.

he speaks and I'm annoyed. he also asks me loads of questions I don't know the answer to about stuff that doesn't even matter and when I say I don't know he asks the same freaking question in a different way AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1- hes got nothing to say when together but as soon as i hit the bed to sleep THATS when he wants to have conversation i ca ngo to bed @ 11 and he'll keep me up till 3 (go figure) i guess his aussie timer hasnt kicked in !!!!!

2- he also speaks when the tv is on bugs the heck outta me

3- you come into the house you see socks , pants, shirt, shoes a trail all the way to the bedroom

4- tell me hes going to do the laundry and i dont hear anythign when i look for him hes SLEEPING and when i come into the room he wakes up ( and you can see hes eyes are allpuffy and hes got a scared looks after i bang on the door) and tell me its his POWER NAP so he can do the laundry better?!?!?!?!?!?!

5-but nothing bugs me more than him leaving a room with his cll phone and when i ask him who it was he tell me nothing that he wasnt talking ( he forgeting i get the cell phone bills) hes not doing anything wrong but then WHY CANT YOU TELL ME !!!!

i don't use in every load. I have a lot of dressy clothes that ask for no softner, and if I have a huge load that happens to have 1 pair of pants asking for no softener, for example, I don't use it. I rarely use on whites. I really like the smell of the fabric softener I buy, I use every time I wash sheets, bedding stuff, towels, just so they'll have that nice smell. But the rest of the clothes, they don't need to smell good, they need to have no smell at all, they just need to be clean.

I know the feeling ... for example ...

the toothbrush has always been in the same place ... now it's ... on the left side of the sink for a few days .... the right side .... the far right side ... etc

now take other items ... like my glasses ... cell phone ... etc ... it used to be easy to be a creature of habit and not forget things while getting ready for work. now it's a scavenger hunt.
