Hey guys, still no update on my decision of my interview. It has been 20days and still havent heard an f***in word from USCIS, this is extremely frustrating, I guess my file is collecting dust somewhere or purhaps being used as a coaster lol. I have 10 more days for it to be a month. People who have had their interview later than I did still got there green card before I even heard back from USCIS, riduclous. Anyways will let you guys know, if we heard anything from them and I surely dont wish this on anyone, and USCIS is totally wrong to do this to people.

That sucks ball$ Canadianmade - keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.

Looking at the list of potential problems someone posted earlier we are in for quite the ride.

15 years age difference, I've a previous marriage and had a previous greencard. Oh dear. At least we have a morning interview - 11am.

Still, if they kick me out, they also lose my wife as we will have to go back to Ireland - someone who is in the top 5% of her class with straight A's in law school and winner of the President's scholarship award to go to college. At the moment they should be trying to hold onto people like that.

We have stacks of evidence both from after we got married and the 3 years we lived together previous to that. We just realized we have ####### all photos of us together since we got married as we live far away from friends and family. So at the wife's Dad's birthday party the other night we got loads of pictures taken with her Dad and other family - and one in front of the biggest darn American flag I've ever seen ... just to be sure.

All we can do is leave it up to the examiner I guess - kinda unfair but there you go ... what has been fair about this whole situation so far?

Good luck to everyone in there up-comings and congrats to all recent approvals.

It would be good if we could keep some kind of database of all the questions people were asked during the interview so others could be prepared.

Thanks alot Eli, man o man my friend, I have no clue what is going on, and I am wondering, if I did something to someone and I have no idea and karma is bitting me in the #### lol. Thanks my friend for the good wishes and I am dying to know the decision, so everything is up in the air with USCIS. I am sure it will be sweet in the end, but looking at the card also will give me a constant reminder that it took forever. To be honest, it is hard to be a cheerleader and to see others have a smooth process and get their approvals and green cards, this is all in frustration. I do wish everyone well and glad to those who got their green cards and approvals. Inregards to you my friend, I think the age difference might play a role in your decision, but then again, there are so many people who are doing it nowadays and have been. Honestly, if they read in between the lines, you are from Ireland, why would you come here to get a better life, if life is the same there, I couldnt imagine they would deny you, and you only came to the US to be with your wife and for love thats it. I think you will be good for your interview and you will get the approval. All you have to do is tell the truth and explain the situation and you should be good. It is unfortunate that the interview examiner has peoples faith in their hands, and can make or break a case. I think what you proposed is a good idea and it would be cool to see something like that.

Hey my October filers,

I just got back from my interview and we were approved. Got passport stamped! Yay!!:dance:

Here's how the experience went:

We arrived at 7:45a, had appointment at 8am. Got through security check and sat for 5mins and was called in. Here goes-

The officer, Mr Brown, instructed us to this office and told me where to sit and my husband as well. He told us to raise our hand and swear that we tell the truth and we sat down.

He started asking me for me for my passport and EAD or travel document (I didn't apply for AP), and our driver's license,he then asked me how did I enter the United States, he asked if it was 2004 (because my I-94 says that) but I told him I came on a student visa in 2001.He looked at the visa attached to my passport. He saw that my visa expired in 2005 but i didn't finish my program then, I got an extension from the Director at the college, he submitted something to extend my I-20. He then said the school cannot extend my stay, immigration does that. At this point I started getting nervous, then he asked me why I didn't return to Trinidad, man I choked, he caught me off guard, I didn't know what to say, He was like "So you just didn't feel like going back" lol! I wanted to piss my pants..lol He then proceeded to ask for any account information and anything with our names and i handed him our six months banks statement, lease and utility bills. All doing this by taking notes while flipping through pages. He asked my husband then me if we were still at the same address, our telephone numbers and social security numbers and we replied*yes*.

He began starting to ask my husband (USC), where and when we met and our relationship, when we decided to get married. Now, my husband is very intelligent, he is into politics and stuff so HE CAN TALK !! OMG!! lol. He talked about the decisions he made while he was in Atlanta and decided to move to SC and all that.

The the I.O asked me if I had any relatives in the United States, I said I have a brother, he also ask what is your brother's status? He is a permanent resident. He ask me is how he obtained his permanent residence. He was married, now he was only married for 2 and a half years. So the IO was like " So he got his residence through this marriage " Yes..Needless to say, it looked bad at that moment, it looked that my brother just got his green card by marrying his wife and then left her after" but it was just didn't work out. I was extremely nervous at this point. He didn't say but he was implying this.He proceeded to tell my husband that green card fraud is a rampant thing and they need to check up on that, they have systems set up and he can tell by the way people interact with each other such as shaking their legs, moving their hands and moving their eyes etc.. My husband reassured him that our marriage was real and they got into conversation again.

He then said that he is going to approve me today, he took out my I-94 from my passport to show that I came in the United States legally and I need to remove the conditions in 2 yrs and they do this just to check up on the marriage before approving long term permanent residence. My husband thought I did such a good job on filing that he asked him how do you apply for the these type of jobs.. (My husband is something) He actually wrote down a website and give it to me. Could you believe that? Other than that, it was a good experience, it was like a regular conversation you would have with someone you met.

I want to thank everyone for their support and help towards my journey and I will definitely stick around when its time to remove conditions and citizenship. Also experiencing everyone good news and being supportive toward them as well.

Hope all the upcoming interview go well and CanadianMade, I'm praying for you, I hope you get some news and please contact them , I believe they have 30 days to make a decision. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE!!
