Kimcorene - the only interesting part of all the evidence you are bringing is an ultrasound of your new baby!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! Congratulations!!! I'm very, very excited for you - it's such a wonderful journey, the best one you will ever have! Again, congratulations!!! (By the way, everything else looks great!)

 I definitely agree. I guess my nesting instinct is kicking in so I'm using it on preparing for the baby and the interview. Thanks for the comments, guys. Canadianmade, I really wish I knew the right thing to tell you- I also hate feeling in limbo, but I'm praying for you,ok.

I missed that part Kimcorene about you having a new addition to your family and CONGRADULATIONS to you. Thanks Kimcorene for the support and my appologizes for ranting but it is so frustrating to be in such limbo with our interview results.

Hey Guys,

Congrats to all you new Conditional Permanent Residents - quite the mouthful aint it?

Can you give me a bit of advice?

My wife (the USC) has been very tardy at getting her name changed on SS card, drivers license and passport - she kept her own name but hyphanated mine on the end. The majority of the stuff we are doing now for the interview, but we are flying to Ireland in April and her name on the ticket is her maiden name so we can't change her passport.

The question is, will the interviewer get all suspicious if her name hasn't changed on her passport - even though everything else will change - or do they over look that kind of stuff?

We can't change the name on the airline ticket as we bought it online and can't afford to pay another $1000.

Thanks,

R

I could be wrong but I'd bet they won't bat an eyelid, especially since it is still an unexpired passport. Most people wait until their passport expires to do that kind of stuff - or else pay all kinds of money for a replacement which they don't really need. It'll be fine, I'm quite sure. You booked your tickets already?! I'm too scared! We are planning on going to England in May, but I can't bring myself to get the tickets - stupid, I know since the price will go up! Good for you guys!!!

Yep, booked 'em a month ago as we have the AP now at least. They were down to $700 and the next day I booked but they had shot up to $825 - they are now over $1,000.

We only paid $500 for my daughter to come in the summer for 2 whole months.

Looking forward to getting this interview over us so we can go in peace.

I don't think the passport will matter either and thanks for your input. I think we will be fine in the interview. We were together 3 years before we came here, have plenty of bills, car insurance, home insurance, marriage cert, 3 albums of wedding photos, cards, letters, joint c cards and bank accounts, you name it. But on the day, you just might meet Mr or Mrs Richard Head.

R

I'm keeping my passport like it is and all the american documents on the new name.

So you went to the interview with your old name in your passport and got approved ... kool and the gang.

i am the USC and though i did change my name our adjudicator never gave my info a glance i was almost inconsequential! i suspect that it will not be a problem as loads of ladies keep their names after marriage for a variety of reasons. really the main thing is they want to establish you are living together and comingling finances.

good luck!

congrats on receiving the cards! wow that's a big difference in dates i don't know anything about that maybe you should make an info pass appt. seems odd since they were interviewed on the same day right?

In December my husband got an order to be deployed to Afghanistan in January. So I called the NVC and ask for expidite as he wouldn't be here for the interview.well 3 days later my husband learned that it was a mistake he is not being deployed.so I called NVC back and told them that he is not deploying, I don't want to confusing anybody. (well I think I did). So I got my interview date letter in the beginning of January saying I have the interview on March 6th. Meanwhile I moved and changed my addresses.I got a letter confirming my address is changed on my I-130. (didn't recieve anything for I485).Couple days ago I went and check the mailbox from the condo we moved out. There was another letter

Caste Type:I485

Type of service requested: Expedite.

The status of this ervice request is:

Your interview for this aplication is currently scheduled for 06 March 2009.Therefore, we request taht you schedule an INFOPASS appointment to discuss your pending application with your local District Office.

I called NVC twice. One of them couldn't help me at all.So I tried the military help line.He suggested I go to INFOPASS.

I guess the person I talked and said disregard the expedite request didn't disregard it. I don't know what is going on now.I tried to make an appointmeent but no appointment is avalable.the closest field office is 2 hours away on top of it i dontl think I can just show up there without an appointment.I dont know what to do
