And now for some good news of our own...

Finally EAD AND AP ARE APPROVED! :star::dance::star::dance:

It took 102 days, but on Jan 27th we received the email that we were approved for both. I saw a few other folks were approved the same day, so good work to whichever adjudicator busted out some serious paperwork that day! hehe

Rosie, you can check us off that list! And to those still waiting, calling USCIS for a Service Request seemed to help us. They said we would hear something within 15 days and we were approved in 10. Just an idea...

Thanks to all who sent their thoughts and kind words! AOS here we come!

We put in a service request for the EAD and AP -- so hopefully it works for us as it did for you!

Congrats!

My dear October filers!!

With all your wishes, my hub got his GC approved!!!! :)

Our appoitment was at 9:30AM, but did not get called until 10:00AM, which didn't feel like a long wait. Our officer finally called us, and we both did the oath that we will only speak the truth. She went over our files and asked us "how did you meet"? and for some reason, I got excited about telling her our story so I went on and on and on... (Seemed like she enjoyed it too). We showed her our documents (3 bank statements, his name listed as beneficiary for 401K, associate profile, plane ticket we travelled together back in December, and church membership document), and I think she especially liked and convinced on the church membership document... She was mentioning her only concern is we didn't know each other for too long (we met last year July and got married in September) but she said she will approve. Then she made us sign a paper and explained lifting condition procedure and told us that our GC should arrive in next 7-10 days. She didn't ask for the pictures (and we took a ton) so I offered her to see my wedding album and she really enjoyed our album, and even called a co-worker to see it too.. :) She did not take away our EAD or AP since she didn't have anything to give us for now. I think overall interview lasted about 45 minutes...

Thank God we don't have to deal with CIS until next october! :)

GOOD LUCK to rest of the october filers!
