EAD card production ordered finally... Filed like a 107 days ago

Congratulations! Finally!!

Thanks... she is in Florida visiting some family and I called her to tell her that she can finally work again... she was very happy

Emmett Fitz-Hume: I'm sorry I'm late, I had to attend the reading of a will. I had to stay till the very end, and I found out I received nothing... broke my arm.

howdy everybody and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

so panic has officially set in...my husband's interview is tuesday morning and i'm petrified...can anyone offer some reassurance

for our evidence i have:

bills in both names, comcast bundle, at&t mobile, pg&e and credit cards where we are both on the same account

lease agreement

evidence from travel together for a couple of weekend getaways

cards addressed to both of us

med/dental info (he is on my insurance)

what we don't have is much in the way of photos since i DESPISE having my picture taken but i do have some wedding photos, some photos of us over the years w/ each other's family and attending functions both formal and informal for my work.

anything else i should bring?

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Great! Good luck for Tuesday - I'll be thinking of you guys! You'll be just fine and will be telling us your happy story in no time!

Hi all,

I have my interview in March and the one thing that has been floating around in my head is my 20-month old daughter! Do you think there would be any drawbacks to taking her to the interview? It's really a case of necessity since I stay home with her and we have no other care whatsoever for her. She HAS to come - and I want her to as well but I keep thinking of possibilities of things going wrong! Do you think I'm over-worrying it or is it a real concern? Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi Beantownbabe, I have read many threads in here that people who have kids were allowed and did bring their kids to the interview. I am sure it wont be a problem since you mentioned you dont have a babysitter, and I am sure they will be understanding to your situation.

Thanks Canadianmade. I don't think it should be a problem either, like I said I have no choice in the matter really! I'll be sure to bring lots of bribes with me...

How are everyone's interview documents coming along? I have begun putting together my file and am waiting for our first joint bank account statement which I will include. Everyone else doing okay?

Your welcome Beantown and I can only imagine it will be fine, and plus it will definately show that you have a real marriage, not saying you didnt if you didnt have a baby, but you know what I mean. Did you know bribing an IO is against the law LOL j/k, I know what you mean though.

Our interview documents is coming along very nicely actually, and we are pretty much done putting everything together, the photo album, documents etc etc.

The evidence we are bringing to the interview: Photos of my wifes and I wedding, random photos of the both of us on holidays, memorial day, independance day, birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, photos of us at friends and familys house, pictures of us at my mother in laws b-day in the nursing home. Our certified copy of marriage license, joint bank account, life insurance papers, medical, vision and dental forms and insurance cards, afadavit from our friend stating we are living with them, all necessary IDs( passport, birth certificates, my EAD card, both of our SSNs), my wifes divorce decree, my step sons emergency contact form from school stating, I am an emergency contact, 2 months worth of paystubs from wifes job, wedding, birthday and christmas cards to both of us, income tax, my round trip bus ticket proving I had no intentions on staying the last time I enetered the US and a copy of the entire AOS package.

Do you guys think this is good evidence?

Now don't get me into trouble, Canadianmade! The bribes are strictly for my daughter and will come in the form of something sinful like chocolate or something!

Anyway, your evidence looks great and I just know you'll be fine! Can't wait to hear the story!

I'm with you CourtandGrey. Looking at your signature there was probably a big delay while you dealt with that RFE, that's probably why you still don't have it.

As for me, I got my AP earlier, but I'm STILL waiting for EAD. It's getting very close to the 90-day limit for me now.

Our RFE was in reference to the AOS only. EAD processing was alive and well during that RFE time. Good luck to you on the EAD too.

GRRR... Still Nothing! Are there more October people out there that still haven't heard on EAD or AP? This is getting so frustrating!

Yes we are. We got a RFE on our I485 and that has been transferred to CSC, but the AP and the EAD, there hasn't been any movement on them since the biometrics. My wife's ready to go back to Mexico where she at least was making some money.

Seems to be in the same abandoned box as us then. Too crazy... go back to Mexico where she can work... sheesh! So true.

YAY I FOUND IT! WHEW! I went first thing in the morning....(one of the office staff had barely gotten there) I went to check the copy machine and it was still there. YAY! Even though the copy I got is shitty.....Do I need to get a copy of it? I was going to just incase but will I need it?

I'm glad you found it!! I don't think you need a copy of it though. They will give you the stamped original back when you're all done.

Our 90 days since filing is up this next week. We got the A/P Travel Document and nothing else. Not even a Biometrics Appt. letter. We phoned to find out why and they said call us back in 45 days if you haven't rec'd the appointment letter yet!!! :o

We made an Info Pass Appt. for next week. Does anyone know if there is anything that can be done to move this process ahead? I read somewhere that after the 90 days is past you can ask for a Temp EAD from the local office, but I can't find that info anywhere (now that I need it!)...

90 days and still no Biometrics Appt. seems toooooooo slow...

Thanks for any info...

Temporary/Interim EAD is no longer issued by field offices- at your appointment they will put in a service request for a biometrics appt. for you, which, btw, you can do also do over the phone with customer service.
