Did anyone apply for their driver's license and only got the length of time till the expiration of the EAD? I had a license where i went to college, so all i had to do was a vision exam, didn't have to do the rules of the road and road test. My license expired November of last yr so I went to the DMV and only got a one year license. Anyone else experience this? I also start a new job this Tuesday but its like 38 days till my interview..I will keep checking everyone else progress cuz I know there are alot more interviews before mine.

CONGRATS ON APPROVALS GUYS! PLEASE BRING HOME MORE GREEN CARDS AND LET US KNOW OF YOUR EXPERIENCE.

My old license was suppose to expire in 2011 and the new one I got is expiring when EAD is :(, same as yours. I think different states have different regulations on this subject.

Hey Tanyaru,

If your old license was expiring in 2011, why did u go to renew it with EAD..Its still valid, you could of just used it till its up unless u moved to a new state and u wanted that state license..Yea cuz I was in the midwest and they did not really know about immigration law..but that was years ago when it was not that strict..and i got a 5 yr license just with my passport when I was at college so i guess.

Thanks for sharing though, I thought I the only one.

Well.. it looks like in the midwest they still don't know much about immigration laws... I got a driver's license valid through 2013 and my visa expires April 2009... :innocent:

Good for me, I guess!

Just saw online that they are sending us a notice that they have transferred our case to California. Didn't someone say that if it gets transferred, there is a probability that we won't have an interview? That would be great!

Hi all,

I have my interview in March and the one thing that has been floating around in my head is my 20-month old daughter! Do you think there would be any drawbacks to taking her to the interview? It's really a case of necessity since I stay home with her and we have no other care whatsoever for her. She HAS to come - and I want her to as well but I keep thinking of possibilities of things going wrong! Do you think I'm over-worrying it or is it a real concern? Anyone have any thoughts?

Yes, that's right but I also saw some of the September filers I think who got re-transferred to their local office after being transferred to C.A! The probability is high though from what I've seen, so congratulations!

Hi Beantownbabe, I have read many threads in here that people who have kids were allowed and did bring their kids to the interview. I am sure it wont be a problem since you mentioned you dont have a babysitter, and I am sure they will be understanding to your situation.
