It came at 7:30 am. So we all have two "card production ordered" emails and now an "approval notice sent" on the EAD. I figure this last one means they mailed the card. The AP notice said "approval notice sent" and what came in the mail was the actual AP.

Jez, all we want is one email and you guys are getting a plethera ... grrrr. Happy Christmas USCIS.

You have the gift of patience and humour which serves well in this process! Just watch, when you least expect it a card will just appear I bet, no fanfare, no introduction - it'll just drop onto your doormat!!! (And by the way, those e-mails - they stop your heart for a split second when you realize they are from USCIS! It's getting to be more than I can handle!!! :wacko:

Well probably not me. Y'all seem to live closer to the EAD place (Missouri? Chicago? I have no idea!) and my mail has to make it way down to Texas. So one of you is buying the drinks. :star:

Congrats, they send out your card, i got my card the next day after approval notice was sent.

Thanks, Sweets - Someone on another thread said something similar, that when you get the "approval notice sent" messege is when they've actually sent it out. We will see...

Well to add to Eli's distress i also received this today.

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On December 23, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

04/10/06: Arrive in USA on F1 visa.

08/15/08: Marry the most amazing woman in the world.

10/08/08: Sent AOS package to USCIS.

10/13/08: Package Delivered (I-131,I-765,I-130,I-485.)

10/20/08: Checks Cashed.

10/24/08: NOA's in mail for all, all receipt numbers show online.

10/28/08: Biometrics Appointment letter received for 11/13/08

11/13/08: Biometrics completed successfully, case touched online also i presume because of Biometrics

11/24/08: NOA for Interview

12/13/08: AP Approval letter sent out

12/18/08: EAD Card production ordered

12/20/08: AP arrives in mailbox

12/23/08: EAD Approval notice sent

01/20/09: Interview date in Mount Laurel, NJ (Cancelled but will still be attending this one also, realized why it was cancelled.....Inaugeration)

02/11/09: New interview date (Rescheduled due to cancellation letter)

02/11/09: Approved, Passport Stamped

Hey Kimcorene,

Sorry to hear about your progress, I pray that you will hear something very soon from them. We both filed on the same day and I dont understand how your biometrics isn't done yet. When you called for a service request, what reason did you give to them?Did you get a leeter about the service request and a reference number or something? As someone else in commented, why dont your hubby call and explain to them or something, maybe that will help. I know its frustrating, trust me, I know... but dont get discouraged, stay on it and try keeping yourself busy. Hopefully you will get a response sooner than you think.

Thank you Kim, I sound like a broken record in here, but I am so shocked and I totally didnt know it was going to be the way it was and I am totally blessed and have no complaints about anything knowing now my process was so quick and smooth. Have you heard any word about your biometrics appointment yet? Sorry you have to be going through this mess with USCIS and hopefully you will get that bio appointment letter soon. Merry Christmas to you.

Nope, still haven't heard anything- and it's getting a little frustrating now. I'm stuck at home and have to take the bus cause I don't have a license and it takes forever for me to get anywhere. I'm hoping I'll hear something soon, though.

The reason I gave was that it's been past 90 days since they received my application- the person I spoke with put in a service request, but there's been no news on that front yet. A new field office will be opening close by at the beginning of January, so they closed the ASC that I would have gone to, so I suspect that has something to do with the delay. Anyway, I made an Infopass appointment for the 5th at the new office, so I'll see how that goes.

I see..maybe the closing and opening of another office is probably the delay..did you get a confirmation number? if you did, next time when you call them refer it to them..well..keep yourself busy and enjoy the holidays with your family and get on it after the holidays are over. I pray you will get it done soon and give us some good news.

I just wanted to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR and hope everyone that is waiting, get some good news..For those who haven't received EAD cards yet and your approval notice is sent, your cards are already sent, there is proly just a little delay with the mail..so you will get the actual card soon. Also everyone with upcoming interviews in the new year, please share your experiences with us. And for those who haven't had any updates, after the holidays are over, contact USCIS If you feel a tremendous time has passed and its pass your processing times.
