Oh yes, I think they had the Winter Olympics there last year or so! San Diego is beautiful, I was on a quick visit there - are you guys going to move there for work or just "because?"

Exactly! It was in 2006. I was watching the Olympics on TV thinking about most of my friends actually working on making it all happen. It was a very emotional moment for me.

We want to move because of the weather. This cold is giving me a few health issues (besides colds and sore throats) and neither me or my husband have any family ties in Chicago so.. why not? :)

so no change in status on the i-485 but i received the interview letter today...for 27 January first thing in the morning.

one slight worry for me though is the letter requests birth cert and citizenship. can i not just use my passport? i am citizen by birth so my passport reflects that.

thanks and good luck everyone let's get the process rolling so we can get on w/ our lives!

Wow, that's great news, first EAD and AP approvals :) Congrats and good luck to the rest of us. :)

Rosie, one little thing about the spreadsheet, we have just one RFE.

They sent it on the 17th, then it was returned back to them as undeliverable, so they re-sent it. We finally received it yesterday :)

Hopefully it's first and only RFE we get.

Congratulations Kang Lang!!

I would think the passport is enough evidence for citizenship... I guess they just want to see proof of how you became a citizen.. if by birth then you would have your birth certificate to prove it, if by naturalization then you would have to show a naturalization certificate. I believe that's the reason why they ask for both passport AND birth certificate..
