Hey Canadianmade! I did, I called the FBI and they told me the prints were accepted and already sent over to USCIS.. now I just have to wait for the EAD and the interview letter to come, like most of us October filers :)

That is fantastic news Rosie, I am very glad to hear you got answers, I love to hear stuff like this. I am in the same boat as you are, I am waiting for the EAD and the interview letter as well. I am just amazed that, our group is already receiving interview notices, I believe its a total of 5 interview notices so far. I hope this happens for other people in our group.

I'm with you, Canadianmade - I am amazed too by the speed of some of the interview letters in this group! Wow, it almost makes me a little nervous to think about it!!! I'm not expecting one anytime soon, though - don't know why but I just have a feeling I may have a long wait! On the other hand, I DO want my EAD though! That would be wonderful!

Thank you Beantownbabe, I just think its so crazy, their are other filers who posted before us, like for example the july filers, who either didnt receive their interview notice or just did but it is in december or january, so that says alot. I am hella nervous about this too. Why do you think you wont be expecting one anytime soon? Why do you think your journey will be a long one? When do you think you will get your EAD? What line of work are you going to get into when you get your EAD? I just dont want to get RFE and it would be cool if us filers got our green cards came fast. I know some will get theirs faster than others.

Hey again - I agree, I've looked at some of the other posts and am in awe that some people wait so long and others are just lucky and quick! I believe the Boston office to be busy - seems like a popular place to be, so I think the workload would be greater. That's my way of thinking anyway, but they are more than welcome to surprise me with a letter! Hopefully I'll get my EAD by mid-January - that would be the late end of the three month estimation time. It's not that I want to go out to work though, I used to work with kids, but I will still stay home and work with my own toddler for a while! I am more anxious about getting my driver's license and with the EAD, I'll be able to use it as a primary I.D. I notice that the October filers who got interview dates did not get their Biometrics done yet and the ones who DID, they are waiting on letter...I wonder if there's anything to that or that's just a coincidence?!! Funny, huh? And yes, keep those RFE's away from me!

N-400 Journey

I just its just the luck of the draw I think. I can believe that Boston is a very busy office, well my local office is Cleveland, so I have no idea how busy they are. I dont belive many people come to Ohio lol. I dont understand how to estimate the time they will approve my I-485 on the USCIS processing timeline thingy. I think it said like April 35 2008 for the I-485 to be approved. I think I will most likey get my EAD in Feburary the latest. I bet you are very busy having a little one. I am anxious also to get my drivers license too, I cant believe its so much easier than in Canada. I do also find it strange that those people who got interview notices didnt do their biometrics, so I am wondering myself. I wouldnt mind receiving an interview notice LOL. It sure is funny.

I almost fell off the chair when I saw people in our group receiving their interview letters! I'm so happy things are moving along so well, at least for some of us. I don't want to think mine will be this fast, because it might not be, but at least I can tell USCIS is working on our cases as fast as they can, and we have proof of that by looking at some of these timelines!

I can believe it, I was in shock and lost of words to read that our group already got interview notices. I also notice the people who did get them, filed in the begining of October. I am very happy as well that things are moving very fast as well. I am with you, I dont think my process also will be very quick, it will take some time. I cant complain though, my process is going good so far. Your process is going pretty good as well except for the mishap with the biometrics but at least the problem was fixed and solved.

Oh yeah.. I was afraid about those fingerprints! But everything turned out to be ok so now I am stalking the mailman daily looking for that interview letter! LOL.

I am from Chicago, so I'm not sure how that will affect my timeline? I'm guessing it is a very busy office so I might wait a while still...

Good news about the fingerprints. I wonder when we would even receive interview notices in the mail? I can imagine that Chicago is a busy office, I am not too sure about the Cleveland office, I wonder, I checked out the USCIS site to look at processing timelines but for the I-485 it has April 25 2008 for the Cleveland office, so I cant tell and plus it mentions that they are behind schedule. If they are within the processing norm, they would tell you how many months. I am curious, what is an L1 visa?

L1 is a Inter-company transfer visa. I was working for a company in Italy who has offices all over the world and they decided to send me to Chicago... and the story begins.. LOL!

We can only see if we get the interview notices sooner than expected. Awww ok, that is really cool and what do you do for work, if you dont mind me asking? Thank you for sharing the info and just never heard of that type of visa before. Can I ask you a question, you know when you got your NOAs, were you able to register your I-130 recepit number on the USCIS site? I was able to register my I-485 and I-765 recepit numbers but not the I-130 and I have no clue why? Thank you in advance.

I am an international freight forwarding agent. Which basically means I ship freight via airfreight to the rest of the world. It can be a very stressful job, especially during holidays (like now).

I was able to registe all my NOAs online, including the I-130, but I noticed that varies a lot from person to person and the USCIS system is not very reliable on this, so I wouldn't worry too much about not seeing the I-130 online. After all, what really matters are the updates on your I-485!

Oh ok, that seems like an interesting job, kinda like UPS or FedEx kinda thing. It sounds like it can be a stressful job. Oh ok so I guess the whole not being able to register the I-130 thing isnt a big deal, thanks for the reassurance on that. USCIS definately isnt a realiable system whatsoever LOL. Thanks again.

Yes, just like UPS or FedEx but for business only, we are not open to the main public, unless you own a business.

USCIS is definitely not reliable on their internet updates.. but what can we do, I still go and check it every day just to make sure my application is still there

Just want to make sure this is normal -- we filed for the AOS in mid-October. NOA's were sent right away. Had the biometrics in mid-November. We are pretty sure we should be getting an RFE for the medical because we didn't send it with the package but wanted to get the AP paperwork in right away, just hoping that we could travel for Christmas - not going to happen. But we haven't had ANY movement ("touches") since the biometrics. Is this normal?

I had the same problem with my I-765 online. It was not available, but my other two cases were online. My I-765 eventually posted so that I could view the status a few weeks later though. I would just give it some more time, plus your I-485 is the important one anyways.

Filed: AOS (pnd) Country: South Korea
Timeline
Just want to make sure this is normal -- we filed for the AOS in mid-October. NOA's were sent right away. Had the biometrics in mid-November. We are pretty sure we should be getting an RFE for the medical because we didn't send it with the package but wanted to get the AP paperwork in right away, just hoping that we could travel for Christmas - not going to happen. But we haven't had ANY movement ("touches") since the biometrics. Is this normal?

After biometric was complete, there was a touch on AOS and EAD like two days later.
