Full of happiness I went online and tried to add cases to my portfolio but website told me something blah blah case cannot be found .

Did it happen to any of you guys??? I have read it happened to people before and they were able to get them viewable online later, but how is everyone here doing on this matter??? Also, portfolio is registered to my hubby, can that be a problem???

I got a form I-797c letter in the mail today with my $70 check for the support. What does this mean? It says that no further action is required on my part and that the package was submitted with additional forms that are not required. I'm a little confused. Can anyone tell me why exactly they didn't accept these forms? I was told for the AOS package we had to send the support form as well. Thanks!

It says that no further action is required on my part and that the package was submitted with additional forms that are not required. I'm a little confused. You probably mean $70 fee for I-864 "Affidavit of Support". It confused me too because on the USCIS website it states that there is aa fee for it but in reality that fee does not apply to AOS.

I was able to register the AOS and it says

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD

On October 28, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your mailing address.

Does anyone know how long we have to send in the evidence?

87 DAYS- It's really 90 but since they are cheap and use first class mail, they steal 3 days.

Yes, that's exactly what it was for. I kept rereading the website after I got the letter today, and it says there is a $70 fee when it's reviewed domestically, and that's exactly what we are having done. But since it happened to you, then it makes me feel better! I thought we were getting rejected for a minute! So does that count as my NOA? If so it was received today 11/01/08!!

I diddn`t submit that $70 fee but I was asking questions on here when I saw it online. Does letter you received states in application type "I-485, application to register or adjusr status"??? If so, then it is your NOA.

Oh Cr@p! I think I may have made a mistake on my I-765! I was just reading another post out on the forum and had totally forgotten that I have had permission to work here before! I had a J-1 visa and worked for an au-pair agency which brings us from Europe for a year. They fill out all of the paperwork, etc. Well the form asks if we ever applied for work authorization before and now I don't know if my answer "no" is right! I've never applied to USCIS for anything before (everything was done in London) and have no documentation from any of the J-1 stuff, since it was light years ago , in 1988! My Biometrics is on Thursday, maybe I should mention it...or call...or something...what the heck should I do?!!!
