Sorry guys for all the troubles you are having because somebody else messed up. That's so unfair.

ECK are you talking to someone at your local office? It seems that they should have given you an address to send straight to them since that interview lady is the one who will need your papers. I would make an infopass appointment soon and take the medical papers with me in case it's at the same location as your interview. Or maybe they can call and send the medical papers for you to your interview location.

Our case is still "pending" at CSC and the last touch was Feb 17 according to the USCIS website. But the green card arrived in the mail a week ago. So I would forget even checking online status. It's just not being updated by CSC. Maybe other places are doing their job, but CSC isn't putting in their info it seems.

Good luck to you.

Thank you Nich-Nick. the infopass I'm going to make is in the same place,I did that before.they requested us to make an infopass but it was a mistake so we went there for nothing a week before our interview. So I'm going to wait till the 16th then I will make an infopass if I stil don't have the paper.

Hey guys how are you all doing? Well I received a letter from USCIS yesterday and the letter is on a white piece of paper and its concerning my I-485 and it says: please comply with the below checked instructions: you must submit the following documents and or information: there is a checklist of items, the items checked on mine is original birth certificate, a photocopy is not acceptable, and original passport from me, a photocopy is not acceptable. It also says on the letter that no later than 5/10/2009 the documents and or information requested should be submitted to the above address or request a decision based upon the record or withdraw the application/petition, Failure to respond by the above date will result in denial. The question I have for everyone is, is this an RFE and an address is provided in the letter, so do we have to schedule an infopass appointment or do we just walk in to our local office to hand in the required documents? My wife and I were so excited to hear something from USCIS today, and we both feel it is good news and we will be getting the green card once we hand in the required documents and we feel also that it cant be an 2nd interview because if it was, they would have sent us an 2nd interview letter saying date and time and bring the documents we presented in our 1st interview. What do you guys think? I cant believe it has taken 2 months after our AOS interview which was Feb 3 2009 to hear something from USCIS unbelieveable. That is our new update.

Man I am SOOOO glad to hear from you . Well seems to me like USCIS won't go down witthout a fight... I don't know why they would be asking for those originals.... Especially on the passport because you are not even a USC and as a foreigner you are required to always have yours with you... Well I would an INFOPASS like you said. At this juncture you have little to lose so just do infopass. If there is no early date for it I would do a walk in if you remember the name of the dude that did the intrview the 1st time and show him the evidence requested, or you could then mail it if they don't let you in but it should not be that big of deal... .... Well good luck and keep us posted man...

Thank you pacificlye and I am going to go ahead and schedule an infopass appointment and it seems weird to have waited 2 months for USCIS to want to see my passport and birth certificate at the local office and it seems to us that it cant be anything too bad you know, because if it was a 2nd interview they would of sent us an interview letter stating it was an stokes interview. I will let you guys know what happens and thanks for the good luck.

Sounds good Canadian ... yeah I think that they will give you the go ahead, they surely would have said for you to bring in those docs to any further interviews if they were minded to interview you a second time.

Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks guys! Canadianmade, I'm so glad to hear that something is happening for you. Is the address on the letter a service center or your local office? I'd advise to make the Infopass, cause sending a passport and a bc in the mail- hmmm, not so secure. But good luck! Keep us posted!

Hey guys well yesterday my wife and I had an infopass appointment at our local office in Cleveland and we talked to an immigration officer. He was a very nice man, he was black guy, older and he was totally cool, my wife and I were chatting him up for about 30min and he asked us if we had an appointment and we said yes, but we didnt have the appointment paper because when we made the appointment we didnt have a printer were we made the appointment and we wrote down the confirmation # and stuff. He was telling us about his vacation to Alabama and that he totally wrecked a car coming back and all that stuff and making jokes and stuff. We wished we had him as our interviewer. He didnt make a big deal about not having the appointment paper, and he just asked for my name, and he confirmed that we did have an appointment, and we started to get down to business. We presented him with the RFE letter that we received in the mail this past saturday, and presented him with my passport and birth certificate, and he was explaning to us that he doesnt understand why they would ask for these things again if they saw it at the interview, but he did tell us that the reason why they are asking for this is to confirm that I am born and raised in Toronto, ON Canada, and to verify that I didnt naturalize to become a Canadian citizen because he said that Canada is one of the easiest countries to gain citizenship and that many terriosits do use Canada to become Canadian citizens and come to the USA and claim to be Canadian to get entry into the US easier. They are also using my passport and birth certificate to track my entries and confirm that I did enter legally because they apprently cant find my enteries into the US on their computer. He also was saying that they are doing it to poke more at me and just to verify that I am indeed a natural born Canadian. I did also find out that the woman who conducted the interview no longer has our case and that someone else does now and that made us very happy to hear. We did voice our opinions that we had a terrible interviewer and that she was very judgemental and said many things geared towards me that I couldnt possibly enter the US legally because I had no stamps in my passport and he confirmed that at the land borders that they dont stamp passports and its normal. He also said that Cleveland doesnt conduct 2nd interviews, and its based on one interview and or denial, but he did say that this is no denial for what they have asked us to bring in and if it was worst we would know. At least we did find out that the background checks and name check is clear and we did get alot of useful information and it was really nice talking to a human being not a robot. I hinted along so does this mean an approval LOL, he said he cant say because its not his case. So at the end we had to leave my passport and birth certificate with him so he can give it to the person whos working on the case because he wasnt in yesterday, so we will see what happens and we did get a photocopy of the letter we got in the mail with a date stamp and his intitals saying we did drop off the evidence and they recieved it. I would say that we both had a very good experience at the infopass appointment and just hope this turns out to be good news. Wish us luck guys.

Hey CanadianMade,

Glad to hear about the news you received. It was not right how that I.O conducted your recent interview and made you suffer for 2 months. There are some some people who hear nothing for a very long time so I'm glad things went well. I think your good to go..You know how these people are about verifying stuff..I think you had to submit it again because someone different has your case now..Great news..Major progress..I hope you feel a lot better now.

Congrats on getting your actual cards Kimcorene and everyone else on their approval.

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone.Be safe!
