Congtatulations KIMCORENE!!!!

I called USCIS of course the guy on the phone had no idea what I was saying.I asked him why I haven't recieved the mail requesting for me to resubmit the medical and he read to me On October 16 th we recieved blah blah blah....I was like I had my interview but he just told me I should wait till it is 6 month. My case is not outside the processing time.Man I was getting so mad on the phone. Then I asked him why the case online haven't gotten updated yet for my I-130 (which I got the approval letter but it still says pendin online), once again he read me what it says online.I just said thanks and hang up.I'm gonna wait till the 16th of April that is when it will be 6 months and then I'm making a infopass and taking my medical with me.This is so ridicilous how long does it take to mail a notice. It's been a month today.

Calling the 800 number makes no sense most of the time- make the Infopass, hopefully you will get better help. BTW, I just saw that you are from Naples- Hubby and I plan to come up there for the weekend later this month. What hotels would you recommend we consider? We plan to come on Saturday and leave on Sunday.

This is our issue....We finally got out employment authorization (EA) which my husband has had for a while now....we went in to get his Social Security number and they said it would take about 4 weeks to get a card since they had to verify the card was "true". That was fine. A month later NOTHING so we called the main 1800 number and they said they had no record of us filing for the Social or the file never left the local office we went to. We decided we would drive to the office again and see what was going on. They said they were waiting for a response from USCIS to verify the "EA" was real. GRRR! They said "we should hear back from them within 2 days to 2 weeks. GRRRRRRRRR! AGAIN?!?!?! I mean we ALL know how long USCIS takes to do ANYTHING. He called again today which would have been 1 of the 2 weeks and they said they were still waiting for a response. I AM SOOO MAD! We finally got what we needed and we cant even get a social security number.

Sorry to hear that. When I went to the SSA, I didn't have such a hassle, but maybe it's cause I already had a SSN, I was only updating my surname. I really feel your frustration. Can you try a different office? I don't know if that would make a difference, but some staff are more knowledgeable than others.

Question regarding infopass.

My case was transferred to CSC on Nov 4th. So it's been little over 5 months now.

Will Infopass appointment be worth it? Or are they just gonna give me "wait till over 6 month" #######?

Maybe it's on the way. We had a similar timeline and just got the card Friday with no online updates. I did talk to a helpful lady at the 800 number who told me CSC was reporting working on Nov. ? petitions. Already forgot but mine was 1 day short of being 30 days behind. She said when it was past 30 days, you could put in a service request, but they wouldn't update that processing date but maybe once a month. I don't think CSC publishes those dates online for the I-485 family AOS so I found her info interesting. You might try calling them to see where you get with that. I'm going to PM you so look for a message.

Hey I have a quick question for you guys. I'm going back to the CS today and hopefully everything is fine and I can send my RFE back today. The RFE (I-797E) says "Return this notice on TOP of the requested information listed on the attached sheet."

The RFE I received is two sheets of paper: a blue one (notice of action, with the bar code, my receipt number, etc.) and a white one that describes what they wanted me to send them (medical examination and vaccination record)

Am I supposed to send both pages back or only the blue one?

Make a photocopy of both pages for your record and send back both pages of the original.

Here's a summary of my week! Copied/pasted from my 'rfe for medical' topic (so don't read if you've already read it! :P)

Monday I went to the civil surgeon to have the physical medical, and the TB skin test. I didn't have any records from my previous medical (in France, to get the K1) but I had my French health book where my doctors had put every vaccine I had. Also I had a paper that proved I had the first 2 shots of the HPV vaccine here in the USA (waiting for next month to do the third). The doctor also gave me a sheet with the blood tests I had to do.

This visit cost me $150 for medical + $30 for TB test = $180

Next day, Tuesday, I went to get the blood test done. It took only 5 minutes (waiting time + test) I'm amazed I didn't have to wait longer. Insurance covered this.

Thursday I went back to the doctor office to show her my reaction to the TB skin test, positive of course as I had the BCG vaccine as a kid (one of its secondary effects is to give wrong TB skin test results apparently). So she ordered me to go get a chest X-ray. She also got the blood test results, everything was fine.

So then I went to get my X-ray done. Insurance covered that too.

And today (Friday) I went back to the CS's office, she said my x-ray was fine, no apparent TB symptoms. She finished filling out the I-693 form and then she told me I should still take a treatment against TB because it may mean that I have a dormant TB (which I'm pretty sure I don't, it's only the BCG vaccine, as she even said the first day I told her). She said that some jobs, in healthcare mostly, will require me to have the treatment done. I don't plan on working in healthcare at this point so I'm not sure it's worth bothering, the treatment is 9 months long or something like that...

Anyway, then I went to the post office and sent my RFE back to USCIS. I'm done for now, now I can start waiting again :)

by the way, my status online has never changed, it's still "pending".

Well, the good news is, if you end up receiving this RFE (not everyone does) and if you have insurance, it should "only" cost you $180 or so as the insurance usually covers blood tests and x-rays.

But yes, it sucks. I had all this done in France, if I hadn't I couldn't have received my visa! It's a waste of time and money.

I've already completed my medical which cost me about $800.00 (insurance covered only $150.00) and I had my interview. My doctor didn't include my xray report and he didn't write the name of the institution and therefore the IO told me that is theonly problem and that's why my case is still pending;(she told me she was going to send me that letter you recieved and gave me a copy of the second page at the interview. It's been a month I still haven't recieved that RFE.I already got the new medical from my dotor which they forgot to include the xray report again and luckily I caught it right before they sealed the envelope.now I'm waiting for that notice so I can resubmit the form;(

the funny thing is they never sent me RFE while my case was being processed before my interview...

Thank you:)I hope so too.I just called them again and the lady I talked was more helpful than the one I talked couple days ago.

She told me after the interview to wait 3 months and if I don't hear anything then I should make an infopass. Then as I was hangin up she said congratulations on your I 45. tthese people make me so confused.I guess I'll just wait little bit more.

Sorry guys for all the troubles you are having because somebody else messed up. That's so unfair.

ECK are you talking to someone at your local office? It seems that they should have given you an address to send straight to them since that interview lady is the one who will need your papers. I would make an infopass appointment soon and take the medical papers with me in case it's at the same location as your interview. Or maybe they can call and send the medical papers for you to your interview location.

Our case is still "pending" at CSC and the last touch was Feb 17 according to the USCIS website. But the green card arrived in the mail a week ago. So I would forget even checking online status. It's just not being updated by CSC. Maybe other places are doing their job, but CSC isn't putting in their info it seems.

Good luck to you.
