I haven't come on this topic for a while...

I just received an RFE for my medical record and I'm trying to figure out if I need to redo the entire medical or not.

I got an RFE because I didn't send any medical form (I-693) with my AOS. They also say they didn't find my DS-3025 in my records so I think they lost every proof of the medical I did in France to get the K1 visa. So I'm not so sure if I'm supposed to have only the vaccination part filled out or if a whole medical exam is necessary.

Nick's AOS timeline is almost like yours and we also didn't do the I-693 and thought we would get an RFE long ago. It seems like they are catching on to the changes and not letting people get by without it like they were a couple of months ago. So your post is making me think an RFE is imminent. We did send the DS-3025 immunization record which was complete with no more shots needed. I don't have any advice because this continues to be a problem people are having and not understanding what is being asked for. Have you called USCIS to ask them to clarify? I'm going to PM you because I'd like to keep up with what you find out.

We never got an RFE for the I693 that we didn't submit... we have completed the immunizations and also have the form completed and in the sealed envelope to take to our interview on April 13th.

I have been reading everyone's comments about redoing I864's etc. etc. and lots of bills in both names, wedding photos, etc... and I'm feeling like a total failure...

I can't even imagine why people would be redoing things they just did when they submitted their I485's... I will have our tax return finished by the interview. We have a joint checking/savings account. His name is on our water bill, I own my house outright, so no rent or lease... He hasn't found a job yet so he isn't financially participaing much yet in our joint expenses... I don't have any credit card bills... and without a job he hasn't applied for one, and probably won't because our faith prohibits paying interest.

I am self-employed so we have seperate health ins... I did add him to my car insurance. We have tons of photos, but we had a very minimal marriage service here because we were already married religiously before he came here for 18 months... This is the 3rd marriage for both of us. He is 48 and I am 50. Our children are grown...

I was married to immigrants and dealt with the USCIS in both previous marriages. My first husband, the father of my 21 year old son, became a citizen about 18 years ago. In 2004 My 2nd husband, who never overcame his J-1 Visa problems immigrated to Canada when he rec'd a deportation notice... Our I-130 was approved, but then I "abandoned" the case and rec'd notice that it had been destroyed... so I doubt this will be an issue.

I hope we don't have problems... I was thinking of bringing my 21 year old son... he was dead set against me marrying but has come to love, trust, and respect my husband... if hubby passes HIS test.. the USCIS ought to just give up trying to find some flaw in our relationship!... My son was more suspicious than 25 USCIS IO's... and a pack of CIA agents...

Hope I can go in there an be patient with the process and not look too bored and irritated... I remember 25 years ago when we went to the interview they seperated us and asked each of us questions (when did you last have sex, etc.) and we passed with no problem.. can't imagine this time at our age it would be worse...

Any suggestions welcome.

Well, I think I am just going to redo the entire medical. My husband read the RFE document when he got home and he thinks they want the entire medical examination. The thing that really makes me want to do it (well, "want" may not be the right word in that case) is that they say they don't have any medical records in my file. They should have the DS-3025! If they don't have anything and I send only the vaccination part, they may deny me... so I guess I'll have to pay the extra bucks and will have to go through more trouble again.

I just made an appointment with a civil surgeon, it will cost me $150 + the price of immunizations if I need some (which I don't think I do since everything was up-to-date when I had my medical in France)

Congratulations to everyone, wish I new what the green card looked like.

Still pending at CSC, had and infopass appointment last week? maybe the week before and was told we are still within processing times. So we will wait a few weeks and go in again.

Us too! She did get her EAD on the 25th of March though. Hopefully the green card is not far behind -- without an interview. But doubt that -- the vaccination record isn't in the file and they haven't issued a RFE for it -- so I'm sure they're going to want to get it in the interview. Hopefully we won't be the very last "white" line on the GC timeline chart. Thanks for keeping that up to date Kimcorene and Rosie.

completely random and crazy...

today at the gas station i ran into a former colleague who informed me the the IO who conducted our aos interview is his WIFE! i didn't remember meeting her but she remembered us from company functions and told her husband that obviously she couldn't let me know that she knew me.

so the questions arise:

1) was it ethical for her to interview us?

2) should she be discussing it with her husband

obviously it worked out well and since my husband and i have a bonafide marriage and loads of proof we were no more nervous than the next person but it was still interesting to me.

GOOD LUCK FOR THOSE STILL WAITING...CANADIANMADE i am compelled to mention you every time i come here because i've still got my fingers and toes crossed for a good outcome SOON!

Congtatulations KIMCORENE!!!!

I called USCIS of course the guy on the phone had no idea what I was saying.I asked him why I haven't recieved the mail requesting for me to resubmit the medical and he read to me On October 16 th we recieved blah blah blah....I was like I had my interview but he just told me I should wait till it is 6 month. My case is not outside the processing time.Man I was getting so mad on the phone. Then I asked him why the case online haven't gotten updated yet for my I-130 (which I got the approval letter but it still says pendin online), once again he read me what it says online.I just said thanks and hang up.I'm gonna wait till the 16th of April that is when it will be 6 months and then I'm making a infopass and taking my medical with me.This is so ridicilous how long does it take to mail a notice. It's been a month today.
