She finally received her AP -- there is still no updates to the site but the AP came in the mail today. Hopefully - the EAD will soon follow or the green card itself!!!!!!!! Finally you can put a new date under our names! AP approved 3/19 & rec'd today 3/23. More good news to come, I'm sure.

Bad news Canadian, don't let it get you down. Easy for me to say I know but believe me I know these things will all come good ... it just takes time.

Can we run a list on how many of our new immigrants have gotten laid off? I got into work this morning only to be told that the company is shedding all new staff. Yep, a month and half later I'm back on the dole ... or not as I can't get the dole.

So, our one income is down to zero income and as I couldn't work for a few months there, our savings are pretty much ate up.

Grrrrrrrr.

Are you serious Eli damn that sucks big time buddy and I am sorry to hear that about your job this damn economy I tell you. Where were you working? All I know is that the health care field is the only stable job here in Ohio, I am a nurses aid and it pays pretty good, before this job I applied everywhere Target as a cart attendant and nothing which paid minimum wage as sad as that is and didnt hear anything. I hope you will find something soon and it sucks that peoples livelyhood is on the line due to this terrible economy, good luck dude. Yeah I am still on the wait for my green card and I am blaming it on the ecomomy lol.

We're CSC transfer too and still waiting :clock: I know there were lots of Sept people touched Jan 26 like more than 15 and maybe 5 who are on the October list and mentioned a touch. So I think that means they took a big box out of the storeroom that day and scanned each of the files to show them getting moved to the office shelf waiting for somebody to get to them. Our touch was around Valentines Day, so I guess we're in line behind you a couple of weeks. I've been patient all this time, but now I'd like them to just approve or send an RFE...do something good or bad. Just do it!!

Uh-oh, now that I've posted that I'm sure the USCIS Karma gods will generate an RFE.

An updated piece of information for the CSC transfers still waiting.

I just called USCIS and actually spoke immediately to a very nice lady. It's my first call since we first started this immigration process wth the K1, but the curiousity got to me. So I approached it like I was expecting something by now and I thought that the CSC hasn't been updating their info into the system and I wanted to know if there was anything she could see that I wasn't.

The best piece of info I can pass on to those still waiting on CSC is...

she said CSC is processing received dates of Nov. 12, 2008 and if your date is 31 days before that you can ask that they put in a service request. Unfortunately our Oct 13 received date falls just short of the 31 days, so she said to call back in a month because they may not change that Nov 12 date until next month. She said hopefully by then it will have moved up enough days to put in a service request if not received. She said some service centers are not real good about updating the online status and it sounds like CSC isn't doing it based on the GCs received without email or status update.

Not real exciting news, but at least a glimmer of information from the mysterious USCIS.

Hi Folks,

I received my Green Card this morning in the mail. Kinda groovy looking with a big metallic strip across the back and a wee envelope to store it in. I think I'll photocopy it and bring that around with me rather than the card - I know I'd loose it.

Good luck to all those still waiting.

Here's to 2011.
