thanks for the help. do you think i should wait what s gonna be in the mail within 2 weeks or add my wife to my credit card and she adds me on hers. About the car title my wife has her title, car paid off so she can add me on there easliy i guess. I m still making payments for my car i find out about adding her on there if i can. by the way why she let us sign on that paper? what is that supposed to mean?

Our appointment was at 11:00am so we were there 20 min before then around 11:15 the lady from window came out and tried explain why they still have 10:00am waiting and so on etc. but we were called at 11:30 so we didn't wait much. Overall, interview was fine, she was looking for more evidence and i said that's all we have. so i really dont know what's gonna happen. my wife already called a lawyer if we have second interview. She s kind of nervous and frustrated, i was sad too not hear either approved or not but waiting is killing

I still think that the fact that she took your I-94 and made you sign that paper is a VERY good sign. We had the same thing.. so don't think you have to go for a second interview just yet. She might just ask you for more evidence and when you send it in, she'll approve it.

Do you have joint car titles? If you don't, maybe you should consider have that done. Just go to one of the Secretary of State offices here in Chicago and ask to have your spouse added to your car title and the other way around. If you're still making payments on the car, you can have the lease company add each other spouse names. It might help :)

Hey CONGRATULATIONS NOW IS PARTY TIME :)

IT'S COMING!!!

I would wait to see what you receive in the mail before I send anything out. Who knows, she might just approve without asking anything further, but in the meantime I would still try to add your wife to both credit cards and car titles, just in case! :)

I still haven't figured out what we have signed on that paper the day of the interview, but it's obviously a good thing since my card is finally coming. And thanks for the congratulation, I'm sure you will be able to celebrate very soon as well!

Hello Guys,

I haven't been here for many days, but i still update my info.

I had interview today at Hartford, CT and pass it. But the problem is the officer can't find my medical report ( i did it in China before my visa interview). So the officer said you will receive either green card or mail about medical report in one month. By the way, because i am pregnant now, there is one shot (Vaccination) i can not have now. Don't know what will I receivd,,,

Before interview, I saw a couple with a daughter, the cutie said PAPA, then i feedbacked you speak Chinese? So of course we had a short conversation with that couple. During this, I possible heard an officer call somebody's name, sounded like my Chinese name. But it was noisey there, so i didn't catch it. On the way that couple was going out, that office showed her letter about name, she said no. So i asked it was whom, she said Xia.... Oh that was me. So finally the officer found us, me and my hubby.

Anyway, that officer is a nice man. When he saw my belly and asked are you pregnant? I said yes, then he told me there was a lady went to labor during his interview 1 month ago  As procedure, swear first, then passports, drive licence, SS card. He asked us how we met; because of age difference, he asked why i marry with my hubby; double check info on I485 form with NO questions; then asked when will be my due date; what is the name of our baby; when we married, showed him the marriage certificate; and i gave a copy to him. Then he said show me the proofs you are couple, so we gave him bank statement, light bill, phone plan, medical insurance card, a mail from my hubby's daughter congralating us for the coming baby.

He also asked me signed the paper and explain me have to remove the 2 years condition in Nov 2009.

That is all i think. oh i noticed he wrote down how we met, my due date and my coming baby's name etc on the paper. I think it will come out for my second green card interview, i mean for 10 years one.

It went quite smooth, i hope i will receive Green card instead of mail asked to do another medical report. :(
