Morning all! I am back home and still need to read back and catch up -

Sorry that I didn't link with anyone - my conference was great and really busy, but I learned that I need to tell my friend NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO when she says she wants to come with me - The second I finished classes she had a zillion places she wanted to go - I could barely hit the bathroom! She pitched an attitude when I stopped by my aunt's house! Not relaxing at all -

Okay, I am going back to read now

LOL, Quana - No vex this week - he's been on his best behavior lately - I think he knows he hit a wall

Fire de a Mus Mus tail, him tink a cool breeze

Quana...I cried my eyes out and prayed hard over the decision to go back next month or wait until January...but I had to make the decision that made the most sense and would benefit us more in the end. Only 2 more months to go...hopefully the time will FLY by. How are things with you? Going to JA anytime soon? :star:

BTW...Air Jamaica is having a 30% off sale!!!

Hey roxcie , im trying not to worry myself overanalyzing every facet of every document, but im excited about it, and ready to move forward, though i do worry about him and how he will adapt and wondering how he will feel about leaving his kids , but he continually tells me no worry yuhself, so im trying not to let it stress me, i know i dont think i would be able to leave my kids and go to another country...

I think its a different situation - you eat, breath and sleep your kids. Most Jamaican men have a different situation. But I understand what you are saying completely. I believe in mind over matter - if he wants to adjust fine and make the most of it, he will.

I couldn't disagree more. Island...your comment is very hurtful (to me) and disheartening. We make the assumption that it is easy for Jamaian men to leave their children because we don't want to feel bad for separating him from them. We feel that our men should choose us over his kids to show he really loves us. I would never put a man before my kids, and I couldn't love a man that would either.

I would be done with this immigration process/nightmare if it were a different situation. My man is torn between being with his daughters and being with me. He lives for those kids...gives his LAST and goes without for his kids. I don't doubt his love for me either. However, walking away from your kids is not a matter of mind over matter any more than it would be for you or any other mother.
