Maybe the university she attends here will have a study abroad program. I know my brother's university did and he went to Germany...he said it was the best thing he coud have done. It was only for a year though and then he had to come back and finish up his degree at his college. Just a thought.

Thanks. But not fresh out of HS...she's too much of a baby.

Ahhh...let her get some college out of the way and then head to Japan. Do you think she will go out of state for college or stick close to home?

Sure would be nice to have her around to help you with the little one

No little one yet. I'll send her over there to help you and A with your 16 home schooled children

She wants go to to Berkely (sp) University in CA. But there are so many goods schools in VA - George Mason, James Madison, VA Tech, William & Mary, Hampton U, UVA, etc.

I think the program at his University was for their Junior year to study abroad. So it wouldn't be right of the bat.

Your mom ever tell you "I hope you have kids just like you!"?

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Hey ladies. How did your SO propose to you? Was he very romantic or was is very matter of fact?

Romantic. 1st time was in a bar while both of us were intoxicated and crying  and I told him he had to do it right and kept wait for the rest of the trip and nothing.

I was home for about a month and exploded that he was playing games etc turns out he remembered that it had been done so after I replayed the drunken proposal to him he asked again! Yep that's the story we will tell our future babies.

Thanks for bringing back such happy memories sis.

YARDIE --- I bit the bullet....I bought my kids the Wii for x-mas today on my lunch hour.....

Really Island!! How does it work do you buy one console that only one game can work on or can multiple games work with it? I've thought of getting one.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

Intimacy....In/to/me/see...
